You are correct, the FX4 package includes upgraded front shocks and skid plates. I have it and, unfortunately, it's just as soft feeling as non-FX4. The Roush Fox 2.0 kit is so good, I wish this was the FX4 suspension. The Roush kit is just right, in my opinion.
No issues with separating tie rod and ball joints. Everything came apart easy peasy. There's no vacuum to pull on these though. The vacuum style hub was replaced with an electromagnet actuator for the 21's. Just make sure you don't over torque everything putting it back together.
Sorry I'm just getting back to this thread... been crazy. Have to say, the ride is EXACTLY to my liking. It's much stiffer, eliminating the floaty feeling over bumps without being harsh. The lean in turns is drastically better as well. But again, it's not jolting. We will see after I get the 20"...
I just installed, here’s my experience....
Installed the Roush Fox 2.0 kit on my 2021 Lariat FX4 yesterday. Opted against adjusting the Fox fronts because the overall length of the new coilovers were the same as stock, so wasn’t even sure it would actually yield 2” of lift. I figured the new...
Yes, that’s pretty accurate. I got my deal from Cowles Ford in Virginia. Truth be told, I requested a “Wow Price” in the off hours and their auto-reply system sent me a price that seemed too low. When I called, the salesperson said they couldn’t sell for that price. Took me a day of emails and...
With regards to the alarm you get with no hands on the wheel, I haven’t tried one hand to see if that satisfies the electronics.
With regards to the alarm you get when it detects the truck is drifting, I turned that off entirely. Mine is set to assist only, so it will give a tug on the wheel if...
When I used the Ford build tool online it would automatically add 360 camera once I added Copilot, so I believe so.
Here’s the link to my truck including window sticker (on this site, just a different thread)...
I took the conditional financing rebate as well, they didn’t say a minimum amount had to be financed but I have to keep my FoMoCo loan for 3 payments and then I can refinance without penalty.
Admin, what setting did you use? I put mine on “aid only” and medium and it jerks the wheel once the truck hits the line, then over-corrects, and will do that once or twice until it just gives up. I’ll try the different settings as time permits, but seems odd that mine acts like that if yours...
I was in the same boat... ordered a Lariat in October and an XLT in November. Neither one had a VIN by Jan1, so I just started searching around for 2021s in stock. Ended up getting a much better deal going to Cowles Ford in Virginia. A little drive, but WAY worth it.
If anyone is interested, figured I would post what I paid for my 2021 Lariat...
