I have the same issue; however, I don't ever see (or pay attention) to my truck running recirc. I always use 'auto'. I have seen videos where a Ford Technician is spraying lysol into the duct where the cabin air filter is located (filter is removed). He sprays it very liberally, then running the...
Yeah the only thing is that I really love my truck's look - the front end, and iconic silver is nice with BAP, especially with the rims I plan on getting. They'd still look great on CG, but that front end is .. just not my favorite. PB would definitely be nice! I do really like my truck .. part...
I’m excited to hear your thoughts on the install and what you think of this setup once you’ve had some drive time! To be specific, is the the Pro Truck Stage 2R kit, or something different?
It sounds like you got a good deal. I’ve always thought about those massaging seats - hah! I just haven’t decided if the refreshed look and going through the whole process is going to be worth it. I’m on the fence. I wish I would have orded my 2022 as a PB!
Yeah man. Overland Outfitters did a series of episodes, “Shock Values”, which sheds some interesting light on the usual suspects with regard to lift kit manufacturers in blind road tests, which has me leaning towards Icon.. potentially.
I largely agree with this. I do think if I had to carry/cover some costs there is potentially that overtime the increased mpgs could help. Prior to this consideration my plan was to keep my current truck for at least 4 years if not more like 6 (I have a Ford extended warranty).
I am just curious to this forum's thoughts on going from a 2022 3.5EB for a 2024 PB. I have a 502a Supercrew (5.5' box) FX4 BAP truck with about 11k on the odometer. I am getting ready to add suspension and new wheels+tires in an effort to build a semi-overhanding type truck. I'll still use it...
Definitely helpful. Thank you! I am also starting to consider spending a little more money and going with Icons. I ran those on another truck of mine and really liked them, but there is obvious appeal in saving some money and getting a nice setup that is cheaper.
Interesting. I think both are aluminum bodies. When I said break in I meant to say once they’ve settled. The valve design has a lot to do with how the shock works, which between the three- Bilstein, Eibach, and Fox they’re fairly different.
At this point I’m either doing:
- Ford Performance...
interesting! Would you elaborate on why that is? I’ve read many posts where people feel that the Bilstein setup really smooths out after it gets through its break in period.
I called Shock Surplus the other day to ask them their opinions. They advised a Bilstein 6112/5160 setup. It is stiffer than the Eibach 2R, with more heavy duty tubes (larger). For the money it’s still a better deal to get the FP setup, but I find myself wondering if I’d be better served with...
Yes - that's not much of an issue. You'll use your stock top hats so you'll need to compress your stock coilovers, and then the new ones to install! I wonder how the FP setup vs the 6112/5160 compare with regard to corrosion resistance (if any).
This is good to know - thanks! I will probably...
