I just had an mbrp resonator and muffler installed on my f-150 and I am very pleased with how it sounds. Really mild mannered until you put your foot to the floor, and the cold start doesn't wake the dead. The key is having a resonator, factory or aftermarket. I think you could get a little wild...
I came here to say almost the same thing. I had my wheels swapped tonight and the tech asked me if my truck was "one of the new hybrids".
I said no. A v8+electric regular cab would be a lot of fun though.
I picked up a lariat grille off ebay and it has a blacked out sticker on the emblem. I tried to peel it up but it looks like it is going to destroy the factory part underneath if I do. Where can I get these stickers from? I want to get a replacement before I try to rip it off, in case it does...
I understand that. F150's with auto start/stop have a 4 buttons above the center screen (maybe more if fancy?), one of them is for the start/stop, isn't it? My truck only has three buttons, but one of them is twice as wide as the other two.
The window sticker will say: AUTO START-STOP REMOVAL...
Wheel locks are not nearly as inconvenient as the lock on my front door, I have to use that key multiple times a day and carry it around with me everywhere. I don't think any of the locks in my life are 100% effective, especially against someone who is prepared to bypass a lock. I still use them...
I didn't order my truck, but it did come with it disabled, I have an extra wide camera button instead. The dealership I got mine from had 3 regular cab 5.0's on order with it disabled, but the crew cab models they had on order didn't have it disabled.
I made a stupid mistake when ordering my exhaust, I got the MBRP pre axle "street" kit without realizing it doesn't fit on the regular cab short bed model. I ordered directly from MBRP but I'm hoping that someone knows a shop in town that sells MBRP kits. I'd like to talk to them and see if I...
I went through a drive through today and it reminded me of my fox body mustang before I finally ripped the power steering out of it.
Does anyone know what part (location) of the transmission makes the noise? I'd really like to see if there is a way to deaden it a bit.
I thought I read that the struts were interchangeable, if that is true then it seems like the springs may be as well. I'm not all that interested in the shackle, but I would like to know if the spring works.
I didn't think about it too hard, but this is what the stock 20" tire size comes out to. I will be changing over to the factory 20" wheels and tires from the 17". I thought that it was converting the circumference from the calculation into a hex whatever for forscan.
I think some of the features you hear about are only available for earlier models as well. It probably takes time to figure everything out, I'm sure the list will continue to grow.
I was successful in my first outing with this forscan stuff. I thought I was messing up the window up/down...
That's unfortunate, but I will get used to it. I wish my brand new truck didn't sound worn out and nearly busted, but at least it looks better than the other models.
Mine (2021 5.0) has the same noise as the video. I'm a little disappointed to find out it's normal, I was really hoping there was something to fix and that it would be quiet one day.
Anyone with an aftermarket exhaust, I'm hoping the noise will get lost in exhaust noise. I very much dislike...
