I realize this now, 5 min was not long enough to wait. I should have waited a full 30. 21’s take 7.7 qts, I’ve always checked it full after changing it myself too.
Went from 24,500 to 30,500 miles and here’s my dipstick before draining. I let sit on level ground for 5 min after letting it get warm and run for 10 or so.
Is this a lot of consumption?
Add another, 2021 30,000 miles, it may have been doing it this whole time but I haven’t really noticed until now. Colder weather seems to aggravate the issue.
Most noticeable in colder temps, morning time, and first 5 or so miles of my drive, while coming to a stop, like 20mph and down. Sounds...
I just crossed 29,000 miles and I imagine I’ll be hitting 36,000 in my 2021, some time mid-year. Anything in particular I should double check myself or have the dealer look at that is a known potential issue while I still have my oem bumper to bumper?
21 Lariat 502A, 5.0 V8, Super Crew 6.5 Box...
hmm, maybe a dab of silicone/rtv and leaving something heavy overnight would be enough, it’s not really an issue, just looks funny and it catches whenever I wash the truck. Not really noticeable at all unless you’re up there.
Strange that it requires so much to replace..
lol mine does that too, so I guess that’s just the design? Definitely annoying when I wash the truck, have to carefully bend the wiper around the antenna.
So I continue to have a damp/wet dog smell in the summer when warmth and rain are in the mix.
For the longest time I wrote it off to the pop-up wind buffer that’s made of fabric, sitting in the plastic rain run-off tray, as it does seem to be a source of the smell.
But I continue to worry that...
Picture is the rubber trim piece on the passenger side, rear roof corner above the rear glass, and the second picture is the hood cowl in front of the passenger side A-pillar. Both are not sitting flush, I’ve never taken it apart, and both pieces appears to be lifting more over time? Could just...
So the local tire shop only static balances my method wheels with K02s on them and I keep getting a small shimmy at freeway speeds. Is there a certain kind of shop that can balance my wheels with a road force machine?
@Beef_Stew PLEASE post an update once you install on the improvement, I’m in the same boat as you, 8-speaker B&O Lariat and the bass is lacking. Overall quality is decent I guess, not terrible and not amazing, but certainly lacking depth in the bass.
If you love it, I just may order a kit too!
So I use my stock wheel/tires for winter and I run my KO2s in the summer which are quite a bit larger (34s).
I used ForScan to adjust speedo for the larger tires but have been lazy to readjust for putting the stock back on, my speed is off 2-4 mph at freeway speeds, the speedo reads 75 when I’m...
My 17” Methods JUST BARLEY clear the rear calipers, I know some 17” wheels, the inner barrel doesn’t clear at all and can’t be ran on max tow trucks because the rear brakes are larger.
Someone local has new take off Raptor wheels with KO2s for sale for $1500 I was thinking of grabbing for...
The motorized ones on the 502A+, have a fancy little up down/right left dance they do on start up, is this just for show or do they actually level themselves each time?
My truck is on 2” pucks to level it, I haven’t noticed any issues with my lights shining people or being too high, so I’m...
A simple mix of vinegar and water initially made the fabric smell completely go away, and didn’t have any leftover smell. But that just kills the mold, doesn’t prevent the continued growth and obviously any leaking issues.
Not sure what I’ll do here, I just wonder what the “worst case scenario”...
Musty smell continues, no smell today at 0700, got back in at 1600 and smacked with the smell, didn’t rain today either.
Kind of pissed about this, I should smell the leather in my $70k truck, not wet dog. Not to mention the potential health hazard.
I am going to call the dealer and get it in...
