Sounds like the salesman told you it was the 7.2 but the window sticker doesn't identify that upgrade from 2.4 to 7.2. If any of the paperwork or emails/texts from the salesman/dealership specify the vehicle had the 7.2 then I'd say you have a legit case of the dealership misrepresenting the...
I've had the opposite issue. My cabin gets too warm if I set the thermostat above 65. My other vehicles I was able to set at 68-70 depending on outside temps.
I would have thought the same thing but for some reason it stays in electric a bit longer. I have no idea why. The first 1,000 miles I was in ECO the entire time unless it was snowing, then I used slipper mode. After break in I started using normal mode and noticed a difference.
When I'm in...
I can tell a difference. ECO has a little less throttle response. Normal mode tends to stay in electric a little longer which is not what I would have expected.
Awesome, congrats on both! You're in the home stretch. Where in NY are you? I'm near Utica. If I see another Rapid Red anytime soon I'll wonder if it's you.
That was me. It’s a pretty good discount and worth making a phone call and mentioning the forum pricing. It was more than $100 if I recall. They will tell you it takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery but I got mine in two, so they blew the estimate out of the water unlike Ford with their trucks.
This^. My transmission is the same and not a result of the powerboost platform. I've had Chevy's that were the same way (non hybrid) so it must be common... and why I prefer manual transmissions. When the truck is warmed up I get decent electric use under 45mph and it's surprisingly smooth...
they probably would but at a premium price. The add your dealer's markup... It would be cheaper to buy it from the dealer here and have it shipped to you.
Edit: You're only 5 hours from here. Not a bad drive
Got mine a couple days ago but haven't opened the box. They told me 4-6 weeks but only took 2. The delivery date got bumped twice but only by a few days total.
The truck I ordered (502A, Lariat, PB) is still not sold and at the dealership for anyone who wants to consider it. It doesn't have max tow if that's a dealbreaker.
Thanks for the reply. I did call and told them about that front lip. They were more concerned with the sides than the front and said there wouldn't be a problem. Still, I know how salesmen work and would rather trust someone's real world experience.
Just call the order line listed on their website and tell them you saw people on the Ford F150 site talking about a forum price of $885 (plus tax). They'll give you the discount. You might want to share this info with your fellow 1/24'ers too.
Just ordered the Bak Revolver X4S and got the forum price by calling in $880 (-ish). They are being built to order and take 4-6 weeks so if anyone is considering this and want it when their truck arrives you may want to order now.
Does anyone here have the drop-in bedliner and did it affect the installation? This cover is on my short list so I'd like to be sure the drop in liner doesn't cause any problems.
