Update on BCM OTA 24-PU0121-FTDI-FX
Took a few less then 10 mile trips over the last 3 days since installing the update which would normally start reducing resting voltage and SOC per the BT device. But, something as changed and the 12v is showing 12.63v and 100% SOC this morning. I’ll...
It will take a day or so fir me to know if the 12 v SOC stabilizes higher than it normally does as I got the notice for this BCM update just after the truck had been in trickle charge after being away.
Knock on wood I’ve had minimal 12v issues and have been running a BT monitor since nearly day...
The desulfer procedure was for the Cat. @rugedraw will be able to see if they made any other changes to modules while it was in the shop but my experience at the dealers is when they see modules in FDRS that have updates pending they do none that are not associated with the Tsb or work being...
There are other AGM batteries that could fit in this space. Here is existing

And what does the collective believe would be a proper remedy for Ford to offer?
A high strength bolt?
A complete removal and replacement of the rear end and axle?
The best pictures of the spline is in this thread post #14

By all indications the suspect max tow axle is not on the 2024 trucks. However, NHTSA does not permit mfg/dealer to sell vehicles that have a recall. So maybe some 2023’s on the lot may get quarantined so to speak
Interesting part of the document that Ford in the lab couldn’t replicate the failure.
As part the CCRG investigation, Ford obtained field-returned parts for analysis. Ford Engineering performed fracture mechanics analysis and metallurgical analysis on the field- returned parts to understand...
