Not only did they not add push-button start and auto climate control to the STX like I was hoping, they removed the hybrid option! Oh well, see you all on f150gen15.com...
If it brings push-button start and automatic climate control, I'll buy one. Adding the STX package makes it hard to call it a work truck, so it should bring the basic niceties too.
Unpopular opinion because it's a gross oversimplification of how this works. Design team can't get more parts from suppliers, nor are they qualified to improve manufacturing process on the line. So your choice is refresh or no refresh with no impact on your concerns either way. UNLESS the...
I get that YMMV, but I've never had any issues with sharkfins, and they've been on all my cars since I traded in my '04 Xterra. Adding things like wi-fi hotspots and connected vehicle services haven't introduced any hiccups for me. Now aesthetics are a whole different ballgame and I'll agree...
Ignoring the subjective parts of your question, yes.
OK.
And since you can handle all of that through one (1) sharkfin antenna, you're sort of making my point for me?
Agreed. This is how cars have always been engineered. Unless people think all '22 Tundras will have the wastegate issue because Toyota won't make changes until '23...
Honestly, for a truck (no apples to oranges comparison with your Model Y here), even 300 isn't enough. That's because the cold-weather-while-towing-uphill-range needs be 300 to fully supplant ICE trucks. Even then, there will be holdouts, but I'd say that's the number to make them a vocal...
Hopefully it's just an oversight with the B&P being so new, but XLT High doesn't get you push button start and dual zone automatic climate control anymore?
I would buy into this reasoning except the Maverick B&P came out and was adjusted for price hikes just fine. The pricing and dependencies working in NADA guides means I'm at a loss for why Ford can't just flip the switch.
I genuinely don't mean to sound preachy, but this is why brand loyalty is an outdated concept. Every purchase is a chance to do new research and reach a different conclusion on what's best for you. Being loyal to any organization out to turn a profit is a rather one-sided relationship.
