This is what I did as well. At first my dealer was trying to do a different order code, he said his ford rep said it didnt matter if it was a new code, but he changed it for me just in case.

To be fair, those of us forced to convert mostly lost features while being asked to pay more. So the $3500 is kind of to counteract that. But you're not wrong, and I dont think all the stuff they took away or the MSRP increase totals more than $3500 for most people, so there's still "cash" left...
