If you're using Android auto, you can press and hold the voice command button on the steering wheel to activate Google assistant via the car. One normal tap activated the built in sync voice control, while a longer hold activates your phones android auto or apple carplay voice control.
Well they’re pretty different features. The hotspot any device can connect to. So someone can use their laptop in their truck via the trucks cell service. I’m not sure how cost effective that is compared to an external hotspot service though…. I’m not the target audience for that so I haven’t...
Seems like it. Basically don't have to use your phone to stream content via amazon and other apps and instead uses the vehicles cell service.
But I cant think of any realistic scenario where I am likely to be without my phone and wanting to stream. Certainly no situation happening frequent...
When I got my truck (a MY21 to MY22 conversion) I was only given two options:
0%/72 months + $1000 bonus cash
OR
$3500 + $1000 bonus cash
So, mine definitely had the expected conversion offers already linked.
I also had a $3500 PCO but they said Ford is no longer doing the whole "order by"...
I got an email today that my Ford Streaming service is expiring soon. When I clicked the email link to see what this even is, the description it gives me isn't 100% clear.
I thought it's just the Alexa crap I don't care about since I don't use Alexa, but below that there's a separate Alexa...
That's one of the reasons we didnt upgrade to a higher trim. Well that and money, lol. We wanted physical knobs, the steering column shifter, less techy gauge cluster with real gauges at the top.
Just noticed my payload today. 2031 lbs. One of the advantages of a base model I supposed!
Also, I had heard to check the fuses in the engine bay because they tend to arrive loose. I can confirm that they weren't 100% seated on mine. I wouldn't call them loose but every single one was able to...
i just picked up my STX trim XL and can confirm it doesn’t have the door that the 21s have. Its just a rubber tray with a lip that rests in there and can be removed.
I feel like the camera quality is at least slightly better than my in-laws '17 with the 360 cameras.
One thing with the cameras that seems new is that now you can specifically choose which of the 360 cameras to focus on. The '17 doesn't do that and the dealer said that it has to be new because...
Finally picked up the truck today! Don't have a photo right now because it's dark out.
I can confirm at least for my trim (STX), they removed they 2nd glove box cover, the center console slide cover, and the bottom vent knobs.
For incentives/rebates, I was only able to do 0/72 financing +...
My truck also arrived at the dealer today. Can't get it right now and maybe not till next week since I'm fighting some health problems, so that's a bummer. But I'm so happy it's here finally.
I just knew it'd arrive during the time I'm sick.
I'm sorry to hear that. I suffer from migraines as well and they're brutal. Want to scoop my brain out with a spork. I hope you feel better soon and that it goes away!
This is what I did as well. At first my dealer was trying to do a different order code, he said his ford rep said it didnt matter if it was a new code, but he changed it for me just in case.
To be fair, those of us forced to convert mostly lost features while being asked to pay more. So the $3500 is kind of to counteract that.
But you're not wrong, and I dont think all the stuff they took away or the MSRP increase totals more than $3500 for most people, so there's still "cash" left...
