I wonder what’s different? My Job2 truck came with the 20” sport wheels. When I first installed the Raptor wheels the radar speed check signs did show the speedo reading low. But, later that week the same signs displayed the same speed as the speedo. So, I also verified it with an AIM Solo...
Looks great
I’ve also got a 502a Sport with 2021 Raptor bead locks. My truck learned the new tire size after a few miles and the speedo is perfect now. No tune required.
Cheers,
Exactly what do you want powered on?
I’ve been performing remote welding with the power boost. I enable eco idle and turn off everything but the outlets. The truck burns very little gas. Like I don’t see more than a few miles of lost range after about 8-hours of work.
Cheers,
2021 Lariat Powerboost 16.5 MPG over the first 4000mi.
My 2015 5.0 XLT got 14.5 MPG. Both, trucks ran Raptor wheels and tires. The 2015 had a 2” level. I’m waiting for Fox or Bilstein to start shipping coil over leveling kits.
Cheers,
I just pressed the button inside the backup knob and the ON lit up. Also, the truck popped up a dialog box in the center stack display to setup the trailer.
It’s complicated. There are different combinations of the ProTrailer back-up assist Gen14 F150s. I’m not sure how to tell them apart...
It’s complicated. If you ask FOX they say to wait for Gen14 shocks. Roush says use Gen13 shocks; but, lower the spring perches by 5/8”.
Ford changed the front motion ratio on the Gen14. So, I’m waiting.
I couldn’t get a 402a because it doesn’t have power boost option.
I had to get 502a for the auto leveling headlights. I didn’t get a 700 series truck because of that gaudy road sign they crimp into the tail gate. The massive tramp stamp punched into the tail gate of the lower trims isn’t...
Mall crawler ? Pick the limited.
Prerunner ? Pick the Raptor.
The best thing about the Raptor is four link rear suspension. If you don’t need that; get the limited.
Cheers,
I went from factory 32” tires to 34.5” tires. Initially the speedo was off; but, the truck seems to have adapted to the taller tires. I verified the speedometer reading with an AIM Solo 2 and local “your speed” radar traffic signs.
Cheers,
I was able to weld 1/8” aluminum with 150 amps on the pedal at 150Hz. Both legs were cruising at 375 - 400 watts. So, 750 to 800 watts total. The engine cycled on very infrequently. I am pleasantly surprised.
Cheers,
I paid $2500. I’ve seen them on ebay for between $3500 and $4500 (plus shipping). I would only do local pick up. It’s too much cash to accept them sight unseen.
The guy I got them from put his Raptor on 37s.
Cheers,
The 34” 295s are the safest size to run on Raptor wheels. The stock Raptor 315s will rub at full lock.
I’m running 2021 Raptor take off wheels and tires. It’s a 502a FX4 truck. The front passenger and rear driver crash bars rubbed. I was able to push the crash bars away from the tires...
The truck has been awesome for the first 1,000 miles. I’m done with mods until Bilstein releases their Gen14 valving. In these pics you can see the Diamond Back tonneau cover and Gen14 Raptor take off wheels. I hope everyone is enjoying their truck as much as I am.
Cheers,
I was able to reach a finger over the top of the speaker connector and press the release tab. But, there wasn’t room to reach up and pull the connector off at the same time. So, I stuck a long flat blade screwdriver up through the bottom side of the dynamic air damn and used it to lever the...
Yes, I did take my 2016 FX4 off road stock. The mud clogged the street treads and it was a trip sliding down the mountain.
My greatest concern are punctures. I’m usually 2-3 hours away from the edge of civilization. Those stock 41-lb onion skin tires are not what you want bet on out...
