Why do you need 200A in the garage?
Pretty sure if you can drop a new 200 you can replace to 400 but it could cost a lot if you have underground and transformer is a long way away. Overhead ought to be simple.
That evse is pretty highly rated. I'd buy one if my GE fails.
One reason I bought mine was also the fact I could select current levels. A few years ago I didn't have any idea about how to charge and what my usage was. Lucky for me my power company has a smart meter that was installed years ago...
PA Lightning, seems like a current going price. DIY might have been cheaper too if you had time to fool with it. Parts and copper going for gold prices.
Every EVSE has to have a gfci built into it. Part of spec.
The latest NEC code for EVSE's with plugs require that the socket have a gfci on...
Most EV's can lock their charge ports and even send text or email when some change happens.
There are all sorts of charging networks that have been in business before EA. Nothing new.
Buc-ee's has a number of chargers being installed. Almost every gas station chain has chargers going in. Shell...
Find what network that charger is on. Some place will show number of cables and power output. Plugshare so far as I've seen always shows the same data as network does.
"Will we be able to use the Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter"
I have that adapter for emergency use and have tested it at a destination charger. There is no reason it should work at lower current settings.
The people on the Bolt forums have used them due to the Bolt fire issue. Some chargers have limits on length and most say to connect cable then attempt to charge. All of them have a current rating, if not then don't buy it. Not sure it should be much more than a temporary use device. Better to...

My phone app has the breakdown for how power is used. I suspect it is pretty accurate. Big very old hungry water heater shows up as $30 a month. Whacky old big fridge takes another $30.
Hoping for a...
It may be possible for other EV's to do that. It basically reads the vin but could be used by crooks and I assume it will shortly. I'll need two factor authentication on the app.
Some sites claim that there can be an issue with the connection between the cord and vehicle port. If there is a poor connection there it ends up a mess. Not sure if I was supposed to but I put dielectric grease in it to help keep corrosion down.
I'd only take my portable evse with me either as some odd emergency deal or the place I'd go to has no support. The good thing about a dual voltage charger is you can limp along with 120V or get some sort of power on 240V.
I do keep what they call a Tesla tap in the trunk for some odd reason I...
I have a charger that I can set charge levels. Currently I don't use the full 40A ability and don't see a need for it.
I suggest that you consider your daily use and electric rates for best purchase. It won't be overly easy for many people to add in a high current load to their panel I'd guess...
