  1. 2021 F-150 Powerboost Hybrid Specs: 430 hp / 570 lb-ft / 12,700 lbs towing capacity

Still unimpressed... numbers are what they are... Just my opinion...
  2. Powerboost HP / Torque Predictions? Timing?

Are we supposed to be in shock and awe by these powerboost numbers? Because they arent That spectacular. The plugin Aviator does much better at 497/630 and the outgoing HO 3.5 managed 450/510. Plus it's gotta weigh 500 pounds more with the additional equipment. Meh... Will be waiting for the...
  3. 2021 F-150 Powerboost Hybrid Specs: 430 hp / 570 lb-ft / 12,700 lbs towing capacity

Not impressed... These arent spectacular numbers. The plugin Aviator does much better at 497/630 and the outgoing HO 3.5 managed 450/510. Plus it's gotta weigh 500 pounds more with the additional equipment. Meh...
  4. New 6.8L Engine Coming For F-150 in 2022!

Agreed - even as a replacement for the capable 6.2 L (Boss) base mill for superduties it makes no sense as people are generally buying the oil burner or godzilla for towing except for base XL work trucks.
  5. New 6.8L Engine Coming For F-150 in 2022!

a new pushrod small block gasser for tuck use to replace the coyote? I just can't see ford investing $$ in that given their investment in turbo v6's and now hybrids to meet CAFE requirements. Would be cool just don't see it. Maybe to compete with GM's 6.2 pushrod gasser as they also have the 5.3?
  6. New 6.8L Engine Coming For F-150 in 2022!

Makes no sense whatsoever. Another 6.8 liter V8? For what purpose? Replacement of the coyote for light duty trucks or mustangs? There is already a 7.3 Godzilla for Super Duties.
  7. Powerboost HP / Torque Predictions? Timing?

I suspect ford is delaying announcements on the new hybrid power train figures until the current rebates and pco's for leftover 2020's expire (9/30) so they can maximize incentives to clear the lots.
  8. Powerboost HP / Torque Predictions? Timing?

Agreed... Not sure what the big deal is other than last minute tuning... Every other competitor has released full 2021 engine details so it's not like they are waiting for some competitive edge. I hope this doesn't indicate they used the non EcoBoost engine and are frantically trying to tweak...
  9. Powerboost HP / Torque Predictions? Timing?

The hybrid EcoBoost in the Lincoln Aviator generates 494 HP and 630 ft/pds torque at 3 liters displacement so it will definitely not be less than that. I believe the F150 variant will be 3.5 liters so I'm guessing they squeeze another 15 ponies (over 500) and 650 foot pounds torque. The current...
  10. 2021 F150 3.5L V6 EcoBoost - HO or not?

The new Raptor will come with the 5.2L supercharged mill from the Mustang GT500 to compete with the new Ram TRX. The best non-hybrid engine in terms of power will most likely be the 5.0 liter Coyote. The 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6, according to rumors, will be 'enhanced' but less than the current HO...
  11. Limited Vs Platinum

Limited = Weird blue interior... What gives with Ford's obsession with single choice Limited trim interiors? 2019/20's were limited (pun intended) to 'camelback' brown...
  12. 2021 F150 3.5L V6 EcoBoost - HO or not?

Thanks for the info... As I suspected no HO EcoBoost... Weak move IMHO... expect a re-worked mill from the 3 liter Aviator so I would imagine ~520 HP and ~640 ft. pounds torque. Too bad as the HO 3.5 was a great engine.
  13. 2021 F150 3.5L V6 EcoBoost - HO or not?

Ford has not indicated if the 3.5 V6 non-hybrid available for the 2021 model is a carryover of the HO version from 2020 Raptor and Limited trims. I'm suspecting it is the "standard" version not the high output in order to swing customers into the hybrid (which is annoying as not everyone wants...
