I've tried the block heater also and I couldn't tell if there was a difference. I'm really leaning on @Ford Motor Company to figure out what the issue is we're all having. My major concern is the possibility that we're doing damage to the truck every time we cold start.

At this point I'm waiting for Ford to figure out the issue, I don't want to be down my only truck all winter while they change random parts hoping it fixes it.

Not yet, I’ve been planning on taking the snow machines out this weekend and didn’t want to miss anymore of the season. My local dealer will take no less than a week to do any work.

Hopefully it’s fixed! Mine only made noise after a full night of cold soaking though. Even being at work for 8 hours typically wasn’t enough.

I bought aftermarket OEM tow mirrors from ford, part number ending in DA. I have all the other bells and whistles working (aside from marking lights and power telescoping). I’ve read forscan is the answer for the marking lights, but haven’t been able to find anything about the telescoping...

this is the report I got from ford, took them 3.5 weeks to work on the truck. Started it this morning and it’s just as loud as ever. If the dealer tries telling you it’s the cat, they’re wrong.

Got mine back today and dealer replaced a cat on it. They checked it this morning and said the noise went away so hopefully it’s fixed. I’ll check it again tomorrow morning to make sure.

My truck should be done but end of today or tomorrow, temps tomorrow are supposed to be -9F so I’ll be able to test it by end of the week to see if they fixed it. As of now, dealer is still saying it’s the catalytic converter.
