  1. Winter Weather Advisory: MPG and your Powerboost Hybrid in Cold Weather

Mine is a foot too short! Time to move to a farm and build a barn.
  2. Winter Weather Advisory: MPG and your Powerboost Hybrid in Cold Weather

I remember in high school my cousin would pick me up and we'd drive to school. He was my neighbor. He had a brand new mustang back in the 80s. I'd get in his freezing car. He'd drive it down the country roads just waiting for it to be able to give up some heat in the car. I'll never forget...
  3. Regrets?

Ah Roger that. Makes sense. Yeah, lots of loyalists. Extreme types. Irrational. And on that note, but also a different note, I think people should also realize the concept of 1st place in anything doesn't mean it's perfect. If you pit 3 different stooges against each other, one is going...
  4. Regrets?

I'm trying to figure out if you were thinking I was implying my Ram was made out of gold.... and if I was talking down on Ford.
  5. Regrets?

I kind of agree. I am a day 1 Lightning reservation, and I am considering just giving up on it too... due to communication, or the lack thereof. It's sad when the only news we seem to be able to get it from Dealers, who have different News per dealer, and news sources online that aren't really...
  6. Regrets?

On a serious note: I have 12,200 miles. My truck hasn't seen any type of Ford dealership since the day I bought it. That's 12,200 miles since May 15 2021. 6 months. So I am pressing this PB. No problems that warrant a dealer at all. By 12,000 miles in the new generation Ram, I was at...
  7. Regrets?

If this is Nicole, I am going to lose it.
  8. Rate the new Bang & Olson 18 Speaker stereo.

I have the 8 speaker b and o in the Lariat. Sounds excellent to me. Deep lows. Clear highs. And I like tunes. Come from Bose's all my life, as well as most recently a superb Alpine in the 2019 Ram Longhorn. If you are trying to listen to Sirius or AM FM in the BO, I'd say it's the...
  9. Throwing Codes after driving in the Rain

At home,, I pressure wash the truck, underneath, etc. I don't do the engine bay directly. But everywhere the outside world rain can hit, if not more. So much, I know my neighbors think I am nuts. I also do long Car Wash tunnels, undercarriage etc. As I assume a lot of others do too every...
  10. F150 Ford Tough - Koons Woodbridge Ford Offering Up To 5% Below Invoice

Yup. Virginia is near TOP of the list in national DOC Fee average. At $599 state average. Koons is $899. That's right, they charge 50% more than the average to do paperwork. These kinds of dealers throw in all sorts of fast words to try to explain the costs, but in the end, they believe...
  11. Throwing Codes after driving in the Rain

I drove in several near biblical rainstorms when the hurricane came up in the gulf a couple months ago, and I didn't throw a single code. When I say storm, I mean, I am watching people behind me with flashers on, on the highway, spinning out into the medians and what not. So, a lot of water.
  12. Regrets?

It's interesting, because I don't think I've ever heard anyone say problems SHOULD be happening on a truck or car at 6 months because it was only a $25,000 vehicle.
  13. Regrets?

I regret not asking Nicole Westerhouse out in 9th grade.
  14. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

I doubt there's anything wrong with it. It is tough to have it stay on. The truck is bear 6000 lbs and the electric HP is about 1/3 the amount if HP a camry hybrid or even Fusion hybrid has. If it had more electrical energy and HP we would he easily in the 30s every day. Buy, the power is...
  15. Winter Weather Advisory: MPG and your Powerboost Hybrid in Cold Weather

I have noticed quite a few more posts wondering a couple things about their Powerboost hybrid: 1. Why is the MPG suddenly worse? 2. Or, if they recently bought the truck, why their MPG numbers may not be looking like the numbers they've seen in past (summerish) posts in this forum. I made...
  16. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

You really shouldn't have to turn it off. If the lifestyle remains the same and you used to idle a lot, you will save so much money even with the powerboost idling in Ready mode, turning on every now and again. It will reflect low numbers for a short period of time and look better quickly...
  17. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

Also let me put it this way, I idle more than anyone I know, including any post in here. I am at 12K miles, and at around 540 hours engine ON time. And I am looking at 20 to 21 lifetime so far. But I do also use many of my 25 hybrid driving tips and techniques. You should check them out...
  18. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

I'm willing to bet that 18.8 mpg in the 2.7 Eco was after years and miles averaged... Vs this, where you're comparing a long period of the 2.7 eco to 122 miles of now, with 6 hours of idle or more. Incomparable as far as variables by far. I have confidence, TOTAL, you will be seeing a more...
