@Snakebitten can you do me a favor and check me? I know inhave a TCU update but don't want to spend another 50 if it's just that for now. 1FTFW1ED2MFB98397
I had the USB 0 error and tried to go through the TSB process. While doing the recovery process it wouldn't connect with the USB cable i was using so I had to cancel. After I hit cancel I quickly looked to see what software I was at and it was no longer blank, pre 1.7.1. So I immediately...
Yes. It burned the engine compartment, the dash, and the sheet of plywood in the bed caught fire, lol. I've never been to a car fire that isn't totalled by the time thr fire, smoke, and water damaged everything. Unless you stop it right away, it's going to be totalled.
All manufacturers have fires. I put out a fire the other day in a brand new Chevy 2500. The guy said he saw smoke trailing him, pulled over and grabbed stuff out if the cab before it became involved. It looked like the fire started back at the transmission, so likely a transmission line that...
Yes, you can walk away during the download but make sure you have a charger hooked up with 10amps and the laptop is charged. I would check in every 15 minutes or so for the APIM downloads. Some were faster than others.
There are some that are multi linked. i cant recall which ines, but it does warn you. It says that the update affects multiple modules or something like that. The APIMs are the longest. I probably spent like 10+ hours updating from 1.7.1 to 3.5.3. The TCU update will bring me to 3.5.4 but...
So I think I'm finally at 3.5.3 as the USB kicked off this morning and updated successfully. I'm bow at 22228 REV 539 for a non BC Powerboost Lariat 501a.
Maybe it's not new but I do like the new navigation on the IPC showing the distance to turn, and no not talking about the little text...
So after my update, I'm caught up to 3.5.2 and downloaded 3.5.3 to USB (5GB) but it didn't kick off like all other updates. So I've left the USB stick in and maybe it will kick off but inwas tired of sitting in my truck for hours. I think the only other update left after thus APIM is the TCU.
No. I finally got a chance to re read the instructions from Jesse and I may have waited too long to restart truck. I think it was 45-60 minutes, but I really just wanted to make sure it was more than 30.
So the USB update that Jesse provided me finally appears to have installed as i got the prompt for restart needed. I turned off truck and went away for 45 minutes or so, no lights around usb were on. I waited 25 minutes for prompt to remove usb. Never got it. Multiple drive sessions later...
