I just wanted to say thanks for this thread, it taught me a lot. Looking at what I need to have for my Lightning (I'm not going to do the Sunrun route, too expensive!) so using the 30amp from the bed will be fine. It's the same size as the gas generator I use today.

Not quite... It switches when you are assigned your production start date, not once you hit it. It will then tell you the date.

I would still say go to the State AG. There are usually laws about this kind of thing and dealers can be fined big bucks.

If you get it in writing and have the original contract you can also report them to your state AG.

So is there a rough estimate of start of build to delivery yet? I've never really done a car preorder before so not sure what's normal assuming no parts delays. 6 weeks? 8?
