  1. Switching From Lightning - Powerboost Reliability?

It all depends on your use case. I loved the Lightning while I trusted it. It worked great for everything I needed it for. Appreciate the feedback on the Ecoboost. There's a premium for the Powerboost and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it.
  2. Switching From Lightning - Powerboost Reliability?

Hi, I'm currently going the Buy Back route with Ford regarding my MY22 F150 Lightning. I'm interested in picking up another F150 and the Powerboosts have my attention. From what I've read, it seems as if the MY21 and MY22 Powerboosts haven't been that reliable. Many sites suggesting just stick...
  3. 🛠 6/13 Lightning Build Week Group

Antimatter Blue, Lariat ER, Max Tow Package here! Can't wait. Hoping we all get them built and delivered by August 1st. I'd love to have the truck for some of the summer.
  4. Intelligent Backup - Solaredge Energy Hub?

Knowing that SunRun contracts with SolarEdge, it appears that the "inverter" and ATS solution might be the Solaredge Energy Hub. This inverter appears to be the interface between the utility, DC batteries and Solar Panels all in one package. Has there been any confirmation that this is the...
  5. Ford CoPilot360 - Back Into Garage Assist?

Hi - I measured my garage and it'll just fit the Lightning. However, the side with the deeper garage bay would require the drivers side door to open towards a wall. Not ideal. It would be easier to enter and exit the vehicle if I were to back in. It'll be a tight and difficult squeeze backing...
  6. Can I make do with the standard range battery? Do I want to?

I'm in a similar position. I originally wanted the XLT Extended Range which was projected to be around 60k based on the summer survey. Now with the Tow Package added and the Extended Range it's about 75k. The Lariat ER which include the Tow Package is 77K. It makes no sense to get an XLT ER in...
  7. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

My understanding of GVWR is it's just curb weight + payload. I guess if you increase the curb weight with the tow package, then maybe the GVWR goes up. I have a feeling the truck suspension can only carry 8550lbs total. The payload will decrease or increase across trims to maintain that number...
  8. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

I'm not sure that's true. Look at the payload differences. The XLT and Lariat is 2000lbs. The platinum is 1500lbs. GVWR is determined by curb weight + payload.
  9. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

Based on the attached screenshot from the leaked buyers guide, the GVWR of the extended range XLT is indicated as "up to 8550". What the hell is that? I have $7500 of state incentives tied to that 50lbs. How do I decide my options not knowing the actual GVWR?
  10. No Home Back-Up System Equipment Specs

I didn't a little more research on the plug type. All photos of the Lightning Pro Power Onboard show a 4 wire plug similar to what's provided with the F150 Powerboost. The Powerboost has a NEMA L14-30R outlet which is definitely a 240/120VAC receptacle. Considering there's already many 120VAC...
  11. No Home Back-Up System Equipment Specs

It all depends if the 240VAC plus is a 2 wire (two lines) or 3 wire (two lines and a neutral). I guess I'm not sure what the configuration of that outlet is. Good point.
  12. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

As currently written, yes. Either way, I could use $7500 MA and $7500 Federal for a total of $15k of the price. That along with a 10k trade in, a nice $25k down payment.
  13. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

I was referencing the federal incentive. Not state. Massachusetts is $7500. Federal is $7500 and possibly $12500 if the BBB passes.
  14. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

I hope not! Ideally the official GVWR will be posted in the next week or two so that I'll know if I receive the MA incentive or not. Going to the ER would be a no brainer. It's basically a free upgrade in MA as long as the GVWR is above the minimum.
  15. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

Im not referring to the federal credit. In Massachusetts, an EV truck weighing over 8500lbs would receive a $7500 state rebate in addition to any federal incentives.
  16. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

The extended range may actually exceed 8500lbs as I hoped. This is the from the lightning pamphlet. It appears the ER GVWR is actually 8550lbs which would be assume.
  17. No Home Back-Up System Equipment Specs

I tend to agree. Unless there are other features like peak shaving implemented, I'm not sure I see the value of installing the inverter system from SunRun. I'd rather install a 30A, 240VAC plug to a manual transfer switch to power loads from the truck. The one plug can output I believe 7.2kW...
  18. ? Official Info: F-150 Lightning Reservations to Order Conversion & Invitation Process. Dealer Pricing Options

It's amazing how this memo comes out and my dealer claims none of it is true. I reached out to them complaining about the customer prioritization portion and they said that's not happening. They indicated I'm literally the first on the their list of multiple hundred and I'd be the first one to...
  19. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

It would be especially if the federal incentive jumps up to 12,500. That's why I will struggle ordering the truck until all these incentives are finalized. It could be a PRO all the way to the XLT+ w/ ER depending on incentives.
  20. Ford F150 Lighting - GVWR (Weight + Payload)

I'm hopeful these numbers are rounded down to a flat 6400 or 6500 lbs. If it really is 2000 lbs of payload and I'm short by 1 lb, that would stink. It's difficult to order a truck that could have many incentives that are unknown. If the proposed federal EV credit of $12,500 and the truck...
