My experience was surprisingly smooth and easy. Did a 35 minutes test drive at noon and finished with F&I before 3. My negotiations were done via text before setting foot in the joint. I still want my ford but I’m going wait and see how the next 2 years evolve.

This is what I got from my salesperson this morning. WTF!!? “The Ford Rep said that the recline option IS on late availability. He said the earliest would be July-Sep. probably more likely Oct-Dec”

So My salesperson is waiting on a callback from ford on a definitive answer, but she’s supposedly being told by management that when they go to build my truck in the system, the Max Recline seats still pop up as late availability.

Right!! I’m tracking this info as well. I’m inclined to think the latter... they just don’t know! I always seem to know more than the dealers and that’s beyond frustrating on the purchase of a 76k truck!!

I just heard from my perspective dealership that Max recline seats will not be available until late 2021. Q4 to be precise! Has anyone heard this timeline? I knew it was originally late availability, but I thought that particular issue had been rectified. Q4his mind boggling!

Sooo i’m going to start a new build with a dealer willing to offer 1 k under invoice plus rebates/incentives. They claim to have retail allocations. Is there anything I might want to add in order to expedite delivery? Like maybe a particular priority code or something?

I definitely don't know that (June) as fact, but there has been much speculation that these delays could drag out that long and I don't want sit in limbo being delayed indefinitely for something so small.

My order has work surface and Max recline... Just not willing to wait till June for a truck ordered in July. I’ll probably remove work surface and see what happens.

All this delay without any tangible timetable for resolution is making me seriously consider switching to a TRX until the Raptor arrives....
