Definitely a Backcountry competitor. I'm seeing no lift, and a slightly smaller tire than a Tremor. While it looks closer on the scale to FX4 rather than Tremor, it will be interesting to see how it compares to the base Tremor. Should only be 3-5k price difference assuming you spec the 3.5. I...
It opens still, but wont power close every time, the Diamondback has a gasket that goes all the way around the bed, including the tailgate. It is significantly more water resistant than any other cover, water can only get in through the bottom and sides of the tailgate.
I'm in Fort Worth, and I haven't noticed anything crazy as far as heat goes. Anything will be hotter than it was without a bed cover, as there's no airflow, and the top of the cover definitely gets hot as well as the inside surface of it, but no more than an aluminum roll top I had on a previous...
I've been really close to small sedans and coupes in the dark, and my lights always shine below their rear window. Even leveled I've had no issues, nobody flashing me, where as my leveled ranger was shining straight into everyone's eyeballs.
Installed the Diamondback HD bed cover last week, finally slowing down to take some photos. More to come but it looks great in this photo. Have been loving it so far.
As far as I and the 4WP tech know, it's this thing on the upper control arm. I may be wrong, but the headlights definitely still auto level to the correct angle.
Just crossed 4200 miles, no issues. The ride height sensors that control the headlight level are connected to the upper control arms, so as their angle increases, the headlights tilt further down. The LED cuttof still stays below other people's windows.
I used Pro Comps 2.5in level kit. I drive too much to not get some use out of the Tremor shocks and UCAs before I probably replace them in a year with some ICON stuff.
After some back and forth with 4wheel parts, I was able to get my Tremor leveled. A standard kit does fit despite what I was told early on in the process, all the suspension angles remain in spec and it drives the same.
I am that guy. And it turns out a standard level does fit, although they wouldnt tell me that until they could make sure all the suspension angles stayed in spec. I just got mine leveled after they tested more on a different truck.
