I had thouoght about going Granger, but ultimately decided to go with my local dealer, intending to "do the right thing" and keep the money in my community. It took 9 months to get a VIN (I had actually given up hope) and the truck was on chip hold for four months. Even before I got my VIN, Ford...
I understand the gauge screen colors being different to identify what mode you're in... but I would have thought that at tleast the truck in the center stack (360 cameras) could match the specific truck. THAT would be cool.
Good news for me! My dealer informed me yesterday that after four months, my KR is no longer on chip hold and is headed to the rail yard. Hopefully just a few more weeks and that gorgeous Rapid Red beauty will be in my driveway! Yay for me!
Okay, according to one of thenumbers provided in J17GT's link above, it appears as though it has been loaded yesterday and should arrive at it's destination on Jan 21 - where ever that may be. I presume San Antonio.
On the Ford site it has the circle in the "shipped" place but not the check mark. So I would presume it is awaiting shipping, ;but I do have the rail car #.
" I bet January will be the mop up of any 2022's that are still in the pipeline. It will not be long now and you will probably always be driving a low mileage cream puff of a 2022. "
I hope your prediction rings true. Yes, it's a first-world problem and I have no right to complain, but I'm at...

I may be nearing the end of my journey!
I checked with Ford on Chat on Friday. I was told that my King Ranch was still on chip hold, but it showed an ETA of 10/31-11/5. I thought no way, not if it's still on chip hold.
Well, lo and behold, my dealer informed me this AM that it looks like my...
I'm not holding my breath.
I was told FRIDAY via Ford Chat that the ETA on my truck to the dealer is next week. In the same chat, I was told it is still on chip hold. Ain't no way.
Still, that being said, I hope all of us are pleasantly surprised next week!
My truck has been built but is still "in production" (chip hold)
Is there any way to tell with my VIN how much longer it will be before the chips come in? I am told the ETA on my truck is the first week of November. If anyone believes that, I encourage them to buy up all the oceanfront property...
I just checked Friday. My KR is supposed to be here between last Monday, and tomorrow Sunday....
Riiiiiiiiight.....!
(AND it's still on chip hold ANYWAY!)
