But…but… the simplest answer can never be the actual truth! It has to be some convoluted story about how the big corporation is evil and we are all just pawns….
But yes. If it once said extended and now all the waves are done, then it’s now a regular reservation, back in the pool. I’m sure...
I got my VIN when my order status page changed over to “in production” and there was a date in the slot of “week of xxxx”
To put a timeline to it:
1. Reserved Lightning 5/19/21
2. Converted Lightning to order 1/6/22
3. Received VIN and build week email 3/29/22. Note the VIN was in an email...
It’s true the admins change the title to suit what they think is going on. I’ve had many titles changed (like when I posted an iconic silver and they changed to say iced blue). 🤷🏻♂️
We also have a Mach-E and are perfectly happy with it, it’s performance, it’s range and it fits our lifestyle. If you (generically, “you”, not you specifically) have range anxiety or harsh demands from your vehicle… I’ve got great news for you… ICE vehicles still exist and are in plenty of...
Thankfully I’m not a highway driver and in two years I’ve gone 12,000 miles in my 2020 Expedition. I rarely tow and i live in Seattle where the average temps don’t freeze. It’s gonna be a perfect vehicle for my needs. 200 miles a day is enough. 300 will be a bonus. ??♂️ If ya need to...
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the battery is probably capable of giving us that 400 mile range or even more… However people who buy F150 pick-ups typically keep them for a number of years; 5, 10, 15… we already know from using batteries that over time there will be some...
Pretty sure the “delay” email is a standard CYA issuance. I got the email but the date for build didn’t change. However, if it does they can easily point to “that email we sent you.” Makes sense given all the unknowns in todays markets. Stay patient. ?
It’s a bummer but also better to get 23 underway and probably get some out before year end. For those saying it was handled poorly… I’m not sure what you expect to do when there’s 200,000 orders for something that hasn’t had any production yet. They can’t send a daily update. All in all...
I was pretty sure I wanted this color after seeing it at the auto show on a Platinum but when I ordered I decided on Rapid Red as I’ve never owned a red vehicle and thought it could be fun. ?
Ford sent this today to collect feedback about the ordering experience. Very short survey with space to write extensive comments if you choose to. Also asked specifically about dealership and if/why you made contact with them during the process.
So my small town dealer, who had me as number 1, and I got to order in the first wave and who is not charging anything extra should be punished based your assessment. I’m glad FMC isn’t listening to you. ??♂️ Just because a dealership has lots of reservations doesn’t mean they should get...
I’m speculating they aren’t starting builds til most of the waves are done. Even wave 1 people have until 3/31 to place their order. So most likely nothing starting til after that. Then they will sort by trim level and build accordingly. That’s my guess.
Yep. My reasons: sound system, seating surfaces, I like the wheels better than the 20” ones and last but not least, my neighbor has a Lariat and I must outdo him. ??♂️ At least I’m honest with myself.
