I have a chrome bumper. I used the attached and it came out pretty good. Just be patient though. if I was to do it again, I would go light on each coat and give it a lot more time between coats. I ended up getting finger prints on mine when handling them as I didn’t wait long enough for them...
There is no way I would pay that for those. When I ordered them in 2022, they were roughly 55 each.
I did find them on amazon for $20 each here: Magimaker Parking Sensor Compatible with Ford F-150 Bronco 2021 LU5Z-15K859 LU5Z15K859 LU5Z-15K859-AAPTM LU5Z15K859AAPTM https://a.co/d/6Pr0mR9...
I took several more pictures to help show where the cabling harness runs for the front sensors. All of my descriptions below stating either “right” or “left” is based upon a person standing in front of and looking at the front of the vehicle.
The below pic is the first connection point, after...
Is your primary connection seated fully? It sounds like the wiring harness for those connections is not connected all the way as the pedestrian speaker and front adaptive cruise control radar are both down stream from that connection. When I did mine, those all still worked. The only thing I...
Post a pic please so I can make sure we are talking about the same connections. If the 5.0 does not have active air louvers, then not connecting them shouldn’t impact whether the sensors work or not. My concern would be that your wiring harness which runs back from that connection point to the...
Those two connections are for the front air louver and the pedestrian alert speaker. Your vehicle does not have the pedestrian alert speaker (Powerboost Only) but i would have thought yours would have the air louver connection.
My wife got a 22 Expedition for the same purpose. The 3rd row drops down fairly flat. We simply keep the third row down and put a weathertech cargo mat over it full time. If we really need the space, the 2nd row also folds down to the same level.
I changed IPMA 706-01-01 to enable ODCV which i assume means Object Detect Center Video. Enabling that feature then had my truck displaying the front camera video feed when the front proximity sensors detected an object.
It has been a minute for me, but i believe the following changes should enable the front park sensors for you. I removed all of the camera changes from my original list of Forscan changes.
I placed the holes in the correct locations for a 21 F150. A 21 F150 which has park assist has 6 sensors in the front instead of 4. The 4 on the front will be the same with one more on each side as well. The way you are describing the bumper you are looking at, it sounds like they may have...
I did. I updated the first post at the bottom to reflect the changes I made in FORScan that worked.
As far as the bumper, I placed painters tape where each hole was going then drilled through it. Once the hole was made, I pulled the residual tape off. The paint did not chip on mine. I do...
I used some Gorilla glue. i don’t remember the specific type but can try and see if I can find it. It’s holding pretty good. the sensors have not budged since i installed them.
i have been wanting a bed mounted air compressor for my mountain bikes. I have a Powerboost with the 7.2 Kw pro-power. Instead of routing cables to the battery. Do you offer a simple 3 prong cable to use the pro-power?
I responded to your PM but figured I would respond here as well. To date, i have not calibrated the front sensors to alert further out. I would assume it’ll have to be done at the dealer. I do know that when it first alerts, it does seem like you’re real close until you get out and check. I...
I used a Milwaukee hole punch set (4 bits) that had a center tap that held the bit in place. It worked real well for me. The set ranged in sizes from 3/4“ to 1&1/2”. Think it cost me about $35. The center hole punch really helped as it would otherwise have shifted a lot while trying to punch...
The best i could say is that i think so…. The harness i quoted connects to the forward collision radar, LED fog lights, and the forward proximity sensors. Given the equipment you stated, the connection points should all be correct and present. The part i am not sure about is whether your...
It’s been a little bit, so i am not 100% sure of the size. I believe it was 1&1/4” or 1&3/8” hole size. Best way to confirm is to bring the retaining clip to Home Depot/Lowes and compare the drill bit to it. I think i used the 1&1/8” and found that it was still a little too small and then...
