It look like your AC, as it is now, is only pulling 3600 watts to start. The truck has 7200 watts available. Maybe try allowing the AC to start-up while all other unnecessary loads are powered off??
Yes, I have mine installed with a panel lockout, and the "dogbone" method as outlined elsewhere on this forum. I do find that it is best to start the power-up procedure after an outage with all circuit breakers off and then, making sure the the panel lockout is activated, selectively power up...
I installed this one about a year ago and can power my whole house with a 5 ton central HVAC with the 7.2 kw PB -- Very easy DIY installation:

Kind Sir: My last update was 23-PU0724-DOM-RS which seems like quite a long time ago. I see OTA's that other folks seem to get in preparation for BC 1.4 for which I have already paid my $600 for the next 3 years in eager anticipation that an OTA update would be in the offing but, alas, it seems...
Maybe you could try a soft starter which will reduce the inrush of current before slowly allowing it to build up until the maximum current has been reached.

To the folks who devote so much time and effort on a 296 page (!!) thread, many sincere thanks!! I haven't had an update since who-knows-when, so would one of you kind folks please check my VIN?

I just went out and tried to pin down the exact source of the noise. Had the wife sitting in the truck pushing buttons while I hovered over the engine compartment standing on a two-step ladder. So, a slight modification of the circumstances; The noise is definitely AC related. With the engine...
Great info, HammaMan. As you have suggested, I will have a much closer look at those fans. But, one confounding item is that the noise can be easily duplicated in ACC mode by just turning the climate control off. If you turn it back on and then off again, the noise will repeat.
Okay, thanks. I will have to try to pin this down a little more precisely tomorrow. Two thoughts regarding your comment: 1. In full power accessory mode (engine off), why would the traction motor spin-up in the first place? And 2; If that is the traction motor would that be a noise/condition...
Yes, a motor spinning down is a good description. The sound is coming from the engine compartment. I guess I need to duplicate the noise again while closely looking for the exact source. It definitely is an AC sound because even when in full power accessory mode (power-on-engine-off) when I turn...
A guy in the grocery store parking today has inspired this post. He was standing in the next parking spot and when I shut my truck off he asked me if my hamster had just died 🤣.
I've had this sound since my truck was new and always just chalked it up to just one more weird noise emanating from...
Yeah, on the three different dashboards I imported I had quite a few pids that were not correctly mapped. But, thanks to @Snakebitten's generous help I am now able to piddle with my pids! I guess I'm a pid piddler :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. Is that bad?
@Snakebitten, Thank you! I was able to check all the boxes as you indicated and, viola, it seems to be correctly enabled. I will doublecheck tomorrow as to the correct readouts. :):)
Thank you, @Snakebitten! Your instructions are very clear but but do not lead me to the same choices you seem to have. I wonder, could there more pids that I need to download?
I first notice, first of all, that the Item is showing up in "RED"??
Then the "Blue Lettering" is not there. And...
A question for you gurus of OBD, if you don't mind. I've imported a couple of different dashboards thanks to @turbopilot, @Snakebitten, and @ReverendQ (!!) and each one has several of the readouts (pids??) with no data displayed. Is this something I'm doing wrong during the import files process...
Well, you make a compelling argument about plastic bags and electrical abilities, but I've always said, "If you need a warning label to tell you not to put a plastic bag over your head, you're probably not qualified to perform electrical work either!" Might as well ask your toaster for...
