  1. 3rd wave people - XLT vs Wait for Pro

I'm not 3rd Wave (no idea what wave I might be with an early morning 5/20 reservation), but I've decided to pull out and see the larger EV truck landscape develop. The PRO fit my needs perfectly. Given the lack of transparency from Ford about how many PRO's might be built, and the uncertainty...
  2. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

I need to run a well pump (240 volt), septic pump, in addition to fridge, lights. So just plugging into a transfer switch with selected circuits (240 and 120) makes sense.
  3. [Updated] 2022MY F-150 Lightning Scheduling and Job 1 Production Dates Announced

Newsweek is reporting that: "Currently production capacity stands at 75,00 F 150 Lightning models per year at Ford's Rouge Electric Vehicle Center....A Ford representative confirmed to Newsweek that the company will be slowly ramping up production to the 75,000 mark. ...For the 2023 model...
  4. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

240 volt outlet in the bed with the ProPower upgrade.
  5. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

Yes, that's a lot more complicated use of the Lightning. I have 10kw of solar, but it is grid tied, so getting the solar to generate anything I can use when the grid is down would take a whole new inverter. I never try to run the whole house off of my generator. The AC here in FL would be the...
  6. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

Not sure about the fish tank, but from a lot of experience with outages, I know a fridge can go for a few to several hours without problem (as long as you don't open it). I guess I have never slept that long...in fact I am pretty sure I wake up if the power goes out.
  7. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

Sorry, I have no idea. I suppose if I were away for an extended time, and a hurricane knocked out the power, it would be nice to have something automatically backup the fridge. In 34 years in FL with hurricanes, I have never needed the automatic feature. I am always at home, or close enough...
  8. Ford Charge Station Pro - not available as option for SR?

You can always just use the 240 volt/30 amp outlet in the bed (with the pro power option) and run a cord to a transfer switch connected to your main panel. I live in FL, and have a transfer switch that runs essential circuits (fridge, well pump, microwave, etc.). The F-150 with short range...
  9. 240-volt outlet in bed

Me too. I live in Florida…frequent power outages with storms each year. That 9.6kw, even on the standard battery will power the critical circuits on my house. The Pro model with standard battery is all I need. I have no need to travel far or tow.
  10. 240-volt outlet in bed

Sorry, completely misread that post to mean the opposite. Thank you for the clarification.
  11. 240-volt outlet in bed

Thanks for the reply. If I've read correctly, that means the regular public has to get an XLT with extended battery and the Pro Power Onboard options....going to be probably $60K. I sure hope the info is wrong and the PRO with extended battery will be available for non-fleet buyers.
  12. 240-volt outlet in bed

I need the 240-volt, 30 amp outlet in the bed. Can that be obtained without the extended battery?
