My parking brake said it was engaged when it wasn't. I had this constant terrible digging when I drove, warning me that it was engaged, but it wasn't. I shut the car off, came back a few hours later and it was fine.
The next morning as I walked towards it I heard the parking brake engagebefore...
I know you should not have to, but what's the cost to pay for them to replace the moon roof?
Is it less than you would lose on the buyback? Again I know you shouldn't have to do it, but sometimes the options aren't perfect and the cost and time and effort to get the perfect result isn't worth...
I was able to get a few OTAs to go through after I charged the battery. The voltage reading for it when fully charged was low.
Recently I went in for a warranty replacement of a left rear parking brake actuator. I had the dealership test the battery and it failed on voltage and they replaced...
Not to the negative terminal. To a grounding point under the hood.
Initial reading after stopping the truck after a 30 minute drive was 78 percent. Used a slow, but not the slowest, setting on my charger and charged the battery to 100%. It took between 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. Then I...
Fully charged the battery. Disconnected the charger after it was fully charged and tried it twice. Once via my home's wifi network with a strong signal and once off of the network with the regular cellular signal.
Mine has failed to pull the most recent ota 4 times now.
I checked the battery as it's an early build and it was low. I hooked it up to a charger and it still failed twine after that.
Well...maybe I spoke too soon. It turns out when the dealership put in the new IPC they did not update the engine hours. So, despite having over 5,000 miles I have 4 engine hours.
Not sure if this is on the dealership or on Ford. The dealership said they were being sent a preprogrammed one...
Well I just got it back from the dealership. I believe they thought initially that I couldn't read the dash properly. They had it for 3 days and at the end of the first day they called me and seemed surprised that I was right and that the odometer had in fact reset.
The vehicle stays in...
I spoke with the dealership. The service representative never heard of anything like this. He said they will have to bring in Ford on it through an engineering team.
He can see through the Ford pass app the mileage. You can see it check in every day and you can see the date it reset to 0 and...
I disconnected the battery and had it off for about 25 minutes. No change. Still the wrong mileage.
I'll let you all know how it goes with the dealership, but it'll be a while. It's not going in until a week from tomorrow.
I just disconnected the battery. It's just the ecoboost, not the power boost so I just have the one batter. I am going to reattach the battery in about 15 minutes.
I'll let you know how it goes.
I have a bit of an odd issue and I think it might end up being a huge problem. I have a 2021 f150 Platinum that I purchased in August.
In November my adaptive cruise control stopped working. It's been in twice and it received an OTA (which they said would fix it) and I still have the problem...
It was not in my top five, but that is a good call. The interior lighting is not great. I can't ever see the straps on my son's car seat or where his dropped toys are.
When the Adaptive cruise control and lane centering worked, it was fantastic.
Likes:
1. Headlights...the visibility is great.
2. Heated and cooled seats.
3. Quietness of the cab.
4. Gas mileage. I have the 3.5 eco and it's a heck of a lot better than my Silverado.
5. The sensors and cameras and the infotainment center in general.
Dislikes:
1. My adaptive cruise...
Well said.
Hopefully in time they work through this. I can see how it will be difficult to pivot quickly. I could understand it taking a few years to get better with the software on a dealership level and from the factory. While that sucks, it's just likely the reality of the situation...
As an aside, my cruise control failed again yesterday with the same message. I'll take it back in and I am sure they will work through it eventually, but just imagine if the dealers have trouble with the blue cruise update and people have to go in mutuple times. Ford might just be looking at a...
