Got my underbody sagging cover recall and trailer brake recall done. Also got my driver window reprogrammed so it closes and opens all the way and some module reprogrammed so the "backup assist not available" message no longer shows when I put the truck in reverse. Good as new again! The module...
No, can't complain. I have a Leer topper and stock tires and suspension. Everything is stock. Not sure if the topper helps or hurts mpgs. Got it soon after I picked up the truck.
Just got back from our spring break road trip from Minnesota to the FL keys and Disney. 4204.4 miles. 187.425 gals of fuel. 22.4 mpg average. Best tank 25.46. Worst 20.52. Lots of headwinds. 75-80 speeds. Truck loaded with family of 4 and full bed of stuff.
My truck is a xlt 302a 4x4...
I've wondered that too. I hope not! Otherwise I'll have to do a little trimming. After the frame gets a little rusty I just think it looks better covered up.
From the pictures I've seen they offer a lot more coverage. Frame is exposed with the ford liners.
I've heard the Ford liners are a little thicker. But I think these will hold up just fine.
One would think with the supply chain issues and lack of new vehicles from all brands being built there wouldn't be that much volume? I don't understand the supply chain issues.
There's a shortage of truck drivers. But also not many semi trucks for purchase or lease? Doesn't make sense to me...
Don't know if this is unique to the powerstroke or not, but I can see into the engine compartment on the driver side of my new truck. Is this normal or am I missing a trim piece?
Pics attached.
Installed my husky wheel liners today. Shipped quick- got here 5 days after I ordered.
Easy install and perfect fit. Now just waiting on my topper from Leer ...
They have to leave something for Lariat and higher! When I was showing someone my truck, also a 302a, and explained that XLT was a lower trim levels and Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited are much more luxurious, they couldn't believe it.
I'm loving my 302a trucks but I would have liked...
My dealer had the splash guards in stock but had to get the deflector shipped from the warehouse. Took a day. Hope you can have better luck with your dealer!
How do you like the weather tech?
Yes, and comes with both alcohol cleaner and surface prep. The most difficult part was getting it positioned in the center. There is a row of adhesive on both the front and back edges.
Installed my hood bug deflector today and molded splash guards. Got both from my dealer parts department. Easy install for both and happy with the results.
I've posted a picture that includes the item number for the deflector since there are different options.
Installed my hood deflector and splash guards today so I took some pictures.
Waiting on Husky wheel liners and my Leer 100XL topper.
Loving this truck!
