They do work, but require some modification. I knew this before going into it so it wasn’t bad. The motor on the passenger side can touch the cooling lines. However this can be fixed by creating a barrier to prevent the rubbing. Another option is to add some length to the harness and put the...
Really enjoying the ride on mine so far. Need to make time to install my powersteps, how long did it take you @Hebed118 ?
About 2 hours or so. I tried my best to do my research before hand. These are the standard 2021+ F150 version. The PowerBoost version seems to be under sizable backorder...
Added 275/65R20 Recon Grapplers in SL rating, Bilstein Ford Performance Kit, and AMP power steps. Loving the way it’s coming together! Trying my best to not kill my mileage in the process 😂
Install complete! Added 275/65R20 Recon Grapplers in SL, Ford Performance Bilstein kit set at 2.5”. As it stands right now it’s about 3/4-1” of rake. Also added AMP power steps. Hope this helps some folks!
I think you'd be happy with the 6112s and save some money not going with the Ford Performance variant. You can get they pretty cheap not assembled, but you can also get them assembled for a few dollars more. However, that does come with a small leadtime.
I’m going to try and reach out to them tomorrow to see what’s different. I’m guessing they are designed to provide a more accurate lift when compared to the other kit due to the additional weight.
Gen 2 5160s are the newest Bilstein 5160s made available in late 2022. These new ones feature the black labelling (instead of the classic blue) which matches the new 6112s, new upgraded fittings between the main shock body and reservoir, and black billet reservoir mounts are standard. Gone are...
This is exactly what I'm looking for as well! Interested in any impressions compared to stock. I'm also looking to stay with a non-LT rated tire.
When you say 7/8" showing, I assume you mean from the top of the collar correct?
Ok great! I like the results you were able to get. I think with the ford performance version it should be a little better tuned, but I'd expect similar results on the lift.
Thanks for the response! I've seen a few as well, and I'm curious what modification needs to be done for them to fit or function. I'd love to order a set, but not being sure why its stated as such has me a little more than hesitant.
Hi Frank
What's the compatibility with the Powerboost? AMP says no on the website, but I don't see a mention of it on S3 and I've seen others with them.
