  1. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Additional win, I complained enough that Ford corporate gave me an extended warranty. Five years 75k.
  2. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Dealer just called, I sent them the list that you had screen captured. They told me those are all over the wire updates not over the air. They couldn't explain why they didn't make them when it was in last week. It's scheduled to go in again on Monday.
  3. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Thank you! Service tech swore it didn't need any updates. Is this from the toolbox tab of FDRS? On the F250 forum somebody mentioned to look there for a list.
  4. Request VIN Lookup Thread

When I picked it up last Friday they said there are no pending updates listed for it.
  5. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Yep that's what I thought. I've been pushing hard to get Ford and my local dealer to address. They installed a new Telecom module and claim they checked to see if all my software was updated and if it was connecting to Ford and it is. But they won't listen when I tell them it's in purgatory...
  6. Request VIN Lookup Thread

It's a 2022 F250, but in Sync4 OTA Purgatory with local dealer not being helpful. 1FT8W2BT0NEC87449 OTA failure info would be great.
  7. F-150 Lightning Pro Walkaround and Test Ride video

The 2023 delivery timeline for my position in line still has me in the strong maybe camp (from a major yes). But this Pro is really catching my eye. Throw in a Katskin leather kit (with seat heat) and you might just have the ideal around town truck. My ranch is 60 miles away and I can charge...
  8. HVAC and Range

Wondering if the EPA range reported by any of the EV makers is with the HVAC system operating the whole time. I'm in central Texas and run the AC in my truck 8+ months of the year. If I cannot expect to get the 300 mile range while using HVAC, the truck may be a non-starter.
  9. Answers & Info From F-150 Lightning Event. 300 mile range with 1000 lbs payload confirmed

Welp. If it really is late 2022, early 2023 for delivery I may have to look to something else. I'm not looking to drive my Tundra for another year or more. I wonder when order books open if they will give any realistic timeframes on delivery then.
  10. $12,500 tax credit possible?

Tax credits are a detriment to Tesla specifically, as they no longer qualify. So buyers are now looking at other brands just to get that credit. My mom just bought an EV and the lack of a tax credit on the Model 3 was almost enough to send her to another brand. Even if the net price was nearly...
  11. Solar Panel Tonneau Cover

Solar on your rig makes sense for an ICE rig with electric accessories. Using solar to keep your accessory battery charged so you have lights and a fan in the campsite is doable with a portable panel like these. Actually charging a vehicle, not so much.
  12. 2022 F-150 Lightning EV Lift Kit?

Hopefully all the effort going into smart cargo means they can finally build a truck that doesn't need a leveling kit for the 90% of the time I don't have 1000lbs in the bed. The front suspension looks pretty standard, just beefy, so hopefully a leveling option will come out quick.
  13. SunRun Require PV (Photovoltaic) system with F150 Lightning use as home back-up power

I am sure there is a fancy way to do it directly through the charge cable, but as noted above you also could just install a standard generator connection/isolator and use the 240 plug at the back of the truck. If you do that, you could also use a generator for backup power and not JUST your...
  14. 2022 F-150 Lightning EV Lift Kit?

In a Tundra now, but looking forward to ordering the Lightning. I put the level kit on the Tundra and went from 33" to 34" tires and the look and function is perfect for me. Hoping for something similar with the Lightning. I'm also running KO2, which look great, but holy crap are they heavy...
