They'll say it's not covered due to damage caused by the driver. "You must've hit something, a curb, wheelstop or a pile of ice". I assume this is one of the standard preloaded responses that Ford tells service managers to tell customers to avoid warranty claims.
In my case, I knew this was...
Just got my truck back from the dealer - fixed under warranty. Took just a little over a month for them to get the parts and was fixed in under a day.
If it happens again, i'll be looking closely at what you've done there @Razorbacker
Thanks jmargo...
While at the dealer I asked them to put it up on a hoist for me.
The service tech and service rep that took care of the work weren't in but they obliged and we had a look.
No signs of impact or damage whatsover, other than damage to the valance. Service rep will get back to...
Mine looked exactly like this and I also had a weird ticking noise coming from the lower grill louver.
So i took it into the Dealer, wasn't aware of this post at the time.
Dealer says I must've hit something and the vehicle has been "impacted".
Going in to look at the vehicle today and will...
Nice man! FYI, Mine got to the Rail yard on the 20th and it arrived at the dealer on the 25th. That timeframe stretched over a weekend - not sure if that factored into (no work Sundays perhaps?).
It should be less than a week from Rail Yard to Dealership for you though.
Just checked Palsapp and it's saying my Truck was delivered to the dealer today!
I'm not going to wait for the dealer to contact me - I'll be on the phone to them shortly!
That's suck a kick in the nuts.... after all the delays and waiting this is the reward. I feel for you and I hope to Christ none of us have a similar experience, this shouldn't happen.
Edit... my reply was @oxfordwhite150
Awesome, that's moving along nicely. My truck was also built on 10/06. I contacted FP Chat today and was told my vehicle was in Maple Creek Saskatchewan - not too far from final stop on the rail journey now.
Did you contact your dealer or did they contact you? I was promised weekly updates now...
Wondering if it's just a cache thing with the interwebs... logged on using a VPN and put my details into the tracker and i got my window sticker (from Oct 13th)... turned VPN off and repeated and no window sticker...
I get the same reply from my Salesman whenever I ask for a VVR which has been twice in almost 7 months. I wonder what they're busy doing when the lot is empty.
Speaking of waiting, I’ve seen posts on here about ppl waiting for accessories. Make sure to hound your dealer to make sure they have yours in stock b4 the truck arrives. I emailed my salesperson today and he replied asking if I had a copy of the accessories order we placed… I have a bad...
Yeah, my status hasn't changed from "In Production" either.. sure is nice to see some dates beside the "Production Date" and "ETA" date though... will be checking to see something appear next to the "Shipped" field now... c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!!
Whoah, that's quite the window for transit there.... Dealer told me to expect 4 to 6 weeks once it ships.. you're looking 8 weeks there - surely it won't take that long and will come earlier.
That's promising.. is your truck a KCAP build? Kinda looks like a space white colour.
Tomorrow is my build day at KCAP, if they're on schedule or even ahead I'm happy!
Cheers Dave, some interesting and great insight there. I'm just super anxious due to long delays and reading too much into it. We're all probably hounding the tracker too much.
Enjoy your new truck, no doubt you'll a perma-grin like a fox eating guts.
Now that your status is "In Production" You should see the WS anytime now... I put the over/under for # of times you check the tracker Today at about 845, hah.
It's so weird though... when my WS first loaded, my status still said "In order processing", then after a while it updated to "In...
