  1. Ford Will Build 15K Lightning in 2022, 80K+/yr by 2024

I am in the exact same scenario with my wife's and my leases.
  2. Video: F-150 Lightning Test Ride + Rouge Production Plant Tour

I saw the video as well. I liked to see the inside of the factory. I asked him if he saw a Maverick or Bronco BEV when he went for the ride but he wouldn't bite.
  3. Cleaning those "hard to reach" areas.

For the windshield when I had trucks I would open the door and stand on the door threshold. Works well for the roof too. I used to wash the entire roof of my long wheelbase Expedition by standing on the rear tire then the rear door threshold then front door.
  4. HVAC and Range

Some of the manufacturer's use the heat pump (AC in reverse) for heating. Not the Mach-e and have not seen what the Lightning has for heating. Heat pumps are effective for temperatures above -13f/-25c, in Northern Ontario where I live it get colder than that and the heat pump wouldn't be able...
  5. July/Aug Issue Of Car & Driver dedicated 100% to electric vehicles

On another thread it was mentioned that the charge curve for the Lightning will be better than the Mach-e which should improve the length of time spent at charge stops.
  6. Standard Range Battery vs Extended Range Battery

In my area alot of trucks don't see much use in the bed either. My commute can permit going to the standard range and will be fine on trips just have to stay at the DCFC a few minutes longer to get the range to get to the destination. The standard range will weigh slightly less due to a smaller...
  7. Screen protector or not for 12" display screen?

I think the biggest case of protection would be screen scratches from dirty hands. Have a bit of dirt or sand on your hands and touch the screen and over time it would be all scratched. My phone is like that, working outside with dirty hands and now my screen has fine scratches in it.
  8. Keypad/ Keyless lockpad appreciation thread.

The best vehicle option out there!! I never have my keys on me when at home. My Expedition had it, was so useful to get in the vehicle when I don't have my keys on me. My current leased vehicle (non Ford) obviously doesn't have that feature. My next vehicle will be a Ford and must have that...
  9. Lightning bigger than my garage!

If you have an electric dryer there is a charger out there that splits off the dryer circuit for the charger. It automatically switches off the charger when the dryer is in use. They advertise it if the dryer is in the garage but should also work if not, add a longer electrical run from the...
