  1. Pro Power Onboard with Transfer Switch to Power House

Had the same issue and after back and forth with Generac rep it was determined that I needed two separate ground rods. As Ling as you share a common ground you get the fault.
  2. Towing PB engine freakout

Just towed a Lance 2375 about 6500 miles using Normal Mode with no problems. Surprised to hear using Eco would cause problems beyond a possible loss of performance.
  3. My baby got beat the f*#% up

    Heartbreaking!
  4. Sync Nav Function Gripes

NAV MAP NOT LOADING: Has anyone else experienced this? Sporadically, the Nav Map screen fails to load when starting the truck. The little circular "loading" symbol appears and runs indefinitely. If I change to any other screen and then return to Nav, the map pops up just fine. Clearly not...
  5. Missing shield part number?

Very nice. Where did you get that?
  6. Sync Nav Function Gripes

Traveling across Illinois on I74 I have been using a nav map function that when selected showed upcoming exits and which ones have gas, food, coffee or lodging, as well as showing upcoming rest stops and the distance to them. It was very helpful for planing gas stops since we are towing 7000...
  7. Installed Transfer Switch in House

Without removing the panel cover, can you tell me whether your electrician installed a ground rod separate from the one used by your main service? Thanks.
  8. Installed Transfer Switch in House

All sub circuit neutrals are wired to the Transfer switch neutral bus, which has a single wire to the main service neutral/ground buss.
  9. Installed Transfer Switch in House

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I did, but get a Ground Fault at the truck. In speaking with a Generac Tech, he tells me this is a "separately derived system" and therefore needs an independent ground (i.e. not shared with the main service). From what I see in all these threads...
  10. Ready To Wire The House

Could you take a picture of the inside of you transfer switch? I'm interested particularly in the ground Green) and Neutral (White) terminals on the right side.
  11. Ready To Wire The House

Rod - how are your Generac 6852 ground wires terminated? I have the same unit and the Powerboost keeps tripping ground fault. A Generac rep told me I need a separate ground rod for the transfer switch to make it work. Any info woukd be appreciated.
  12. Installed Transfer Switch in House

I have been looking to use the Generac 6852 but am not clear what to do with a Main Service that uses a common ground/neutral bus. Did you have separate ground and neutral buses in your installation?
  13. Wind noise

Thanks for this information. I resolved it by placing some adhesive foam tape in both those location with the mirrors closed. When the mirrors are deployed it is hardly noticeable and resolved the noise problem.
  14. Road Noise / Wind

Have had similar experience. Noticed when I retracted the mirrors while driving the wind noise went away. Maybe something to do with the mirror design? My 2012 FX4 Ecoboost with tow mirrors was quiet as can be.
  15. Found a nice little touch

    I love it!
  16. PSA: Check your fuses for full seating!

Same with mine. Thanks for the head's up.
  17. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

Haven't towed a heavy trailer yet. What kind of milage are people getting while towing?
  18. Can't use Wireless CarPlay, FordPass, or Hotspot

Wierd. After not activating for 3 weeks, and after the software update and second unsuccessful visit to the dealer, suddenly this morning FordPass asked if I wanted to activate. Well he'll yes I did and it did and wow, now everything works. Not sure if my email to customer support had any...
