Trying to predict the future is always risky. I'm in the same position and am choosing to hold out until the truck I am willing to buy for myself is available.

But MSRP will be set to compete with other manufacturers. I really hate that we need to negotiate pricing and always feel like I lost, even when getting a good deal. It is likely that MSRP will also change more frequently.

It will be interesting to see what Ford does with pricing for MY 2023. For the Bronco, they locked in the first year pricing for reservation holders who did not order and I am hoping they do the same for the Lightning.

Granger told me I was #3 and I received an invite in wave 4 but am waiting to order a Pro or XLT ER. Yes Granger is in Iowa. I think the "no ADM" list has it wrong (maybe because I am in MN and submitted the addition to the list?). @Granger Ford is a great dealer but be prepared for a wait...

Wow, what a let down... I actually got the invitation email today and XLT is sold out. @Ford Motor Company continues its streak of disappointing me (I have an unconverted Bronco reservation as well...)

It appears that very little of the wave reaches inland far enough to get my dealer in Iowa...

From what can tell, BMW dealers are basically operated by BMW. Seems like it greatly reduces the BS factor.

Heated steering wheel covers are under $50. Sure they are not as nice as the factory but I can live with it for several thousand dollars less...

Is there possibly a link to the source information available? It would be awesome of the "DC passthrough" is bi-directional so we could charge direct from solar before going through an inverter.

I believe you had already ordered before the dealer added on ADM, correct? That makes it more complicated as transferring your reservation using the normal process is no longer possible. Hopefully Ford comes to the rescue.

I am also less excited, mostly because I was hoping it would support charging from solar while the grid was down. Power has been very reliable where I live so I cannot justify a large investment for backup options, but I guess that is a good thing :) I'm sure things with change over time...

All a dealer really needs to do is make it more of a hassle than you are willing to deal with. It eventually comes down to trust.
