Headlights no. Taillights yes. I only covered the white part of the tails and used the centre parts to cover the white sides on the 3rd break light.
I would recommend getting a professional to install the rears if you want them completely covered.
I bought it in Canada, I did the math and it was worth it. (also, I would get the extended warranty for the electronics, I forgot the exact name, but a Ford mechanic friend told me it would easily pay for itself over the life of the truck, as there are many more electronic systems) Not to...
In short, yes.
You may consider getting flaps that with a variable offset (Gatorbacks), or look into the attachable wheel well flares (You can get them paint matched). Additionally, ppf or ceramic coating may help.
Depends on how much you really care about little scratches, and how often...
Found one of these in the wiper blade well about 2 weeks after purchase (quarter for reference). Originally I thought it was some sort of debris / trash from a job site. 14 weeks later, I found the other one in the opposite wiper blade well. It looks like they could sit between the wiper blade /...
^^^ This. I was installing my gatorbacks, wondering why that one bolt they give you doesn't fit at all. Just gave up and used the existing self-tap screw used with the wheel well liner.
Yes, you should still get yours. It's only discontinued for the '22 MY. However, if they run out of paint like some reported w/ Kodiak Brown, you may get a notification to pick another color. Unlikely, IMO, but possible.
Yes, this forum is invaluable.
As to damage, I cannot speak. Mine only went down to 8V. When I went to the dealer, I told them that there must be a parasitic drain on the battery and to check the wiring harness. They found no issues and replaced my battery, said it had trouble holding a...
Happened to me, but only at 500 mi in. After my first jump, same amount of mental breakdown + the speedo was reading 0 as I drove. I was told that after driving and charging it up, they would all reset. Problem persisted on the next start up (at least it started). The next morning, everything...
Got Xpel PPF on the front bumper, 500 CAD. I bought the LaminX headlight protection film, DIY.
Between the two, it covers everything I want to protect.
I second that the lamin-x stuff is not easy to work with. I just did the whites on the rears. Not a perfect fit on the inside bottom corners of the BLIS, but I bought some extra to cover any spots that need it.
The headlights were tough to install as well, due to the channel between the large...
Started installing the Lamin-X tint, not the easiest stuff to work with. I've only installed the piece that covers the white on the rears, but I like it so far, as it really tones down that bright white, and almost matches the leadfoot on the reflectors.
I think it's very easy to notice shallow scratches in the clear coat. I had a couple upon delivery, but treated them with a clear coat polish and a microfibre towel, gone instantly.
That being said, there is no better color!
