Mine usually goes down some when I remote start. I will say I feel like the truck and specifically the hybrid system runs better after I let it warm up for 5 minutes or so. The benefit far outweighs the small loss in fuel.
That’s why I feel like something us up with mine. Given how close the overall weight is I can’t imagine it dropping me down as far as it has. Good to know yours didn’t fall off that much.
I have. It appears to be accurate. I had the generator turned off, but when I went to check it was on, which I heard that even when not in use can impact the MPG.
I’m with you. I just hit 3,000 miles and my last two tanks have averaged hand calc’d 15.7 mpg (truck says 18mpg) and prior were worse. I do have a Fox 2.0 level and 34in tires, but my tire set up is only 5lbs more per tire than the stock set up. I can’t fathom that can reduce the mpg from 24 to...
I didn’t have a ton of drive time prior to this set up, but I don’t notice any material difference in ride quality. Feels planted to the ground. The MPG isn’t great right now (17 mixed), but admittedly it’s been in and out of the dealership for a variety of things. So haven’t had it and been...
I don’t think our factory wheels weigh the same. The Hankooks based on tire rack are 42lbs. Backing into the platinum wheel weight from my total 83 would put them at 41lbs.
I didn’t have it long enough with the original set up to be able to tell. Now I will say the dealer didn’t inflate my new tires to the right psi, which I think has been impacting my mpg. I found a conversion table that showed what my new tires should be compared to stock.
It’s good. I’m still trying to learn how to use it most effectively, but I’ve found the transition from electric to gas to be really smooth. It takes some learning how to find the right spot to get the electric to kick in. I really enjoy it!
Not sure. One thing I learned from researching tires and wheels is the weights can vary drastically! You might be able to find that info on here somewhere.
I had been looking all over for the full wheel and tire weight on the 20” platinum wheel and hankook dynapro at2 set up. Finally got my take offs and weighed them. Thought others might benefit. Total weight per tire/wheel is 83.1 lbs.
My Platinum is a powerboost, so I wanted to try and keep...
I have a few more things to knock out, but for the most part done. Really happy with how it turned out!
