Best bet is auction it. Remember that the language in the tax credit states that the vehicle cannot be purchased for resale and it might be hard to prove otherwise if you are selling it almost immediately. Of course it Will be hard for the IRS to prove you didn't originally intend to keep it...
Note that I said "at this time". There is no know timeline for when or if a gooseneck hitch will be available. If you take delivery of a lighting before this has been produced, the truck will not fulfill your stated need. One may never be produced for this generation truck.
Even though the tire model may have the same name, it is highly likely that Ford will have a special version created for the Lightning and the ones that come on it at delivery, and ones that you can get today at TR or another retailer will have different characteristics.
Look into if you can add it after the truck is built for the ice f150. I know that the GM trucks cannot have the factory brake controller added by the dealer, is it's not built with it then y or I need to go aftermarket.
Honestly, if you want a brake controller, if your order has not been...
Ford said they want to get to a rate of 600k total EVs by the end of 2023 so I'm sure they will get through all the reservations by mid 2023 unless they just refuse to build pro and XLT trucks.
It will be interesting to see when they start allowing orders from non-reservation holders, what...
The fact that we are conditioned to believe this is how insurance works is just terrible. Insurance should be designed to only take in enough to cover the payout then an additional buffer plus operating expenses. There should be no profit built into insurance.
I don't really understand intentionally generating taxable events in order to get them then refunded. It's a zero net gain. If I am going to be doing these things anyway, then yes, I should time them accordingly. However if I have no intention of doing either of those things then it makes no...
The only reason I would prefer the traditional lease to the options is if the lease company actually passed through the full $7500 tax credit. Some do and some don't. Personally, I don't qualify for the full credit.
The vehicles use the same dash, infotainment, window, seat, locks, airbags, antilock brakes, and other body control modules. These things are all using the same type of low level chips that are the ones in short supply.
Ford is using a huge amount of common parts.
If you lease the lightning, make sure that the leasing company isn't keeping any tax credits/rebates for themselves. For at least the federal one, it can only be claimed by the vehicle owner which is the leasing company.
I meant the reservation system and the prioritization and all that. I do think the general public is aware that most all new cars are being heavily marked up right now.
