That is 1 of the many reasons they will do this. It is like GM adding Pontiac, Buick Chevy etc back in the day. It gets them around dealer agreements. Allowed them to sell the same product down the road to a different dealer without breaking franchise agreements.
One of the many reasons...
Why Ford will be here long term and GM won't. GM is talking the talk but not walking the walk. Glad we will have at least 1 US manufacturer survive this transition from ICE to EV and more importantly break from traditional dealer base sales. I would think they will follow Tesla and the e...
I have no doubt there are buyers for the truck. I would have one but a big issue will be the commercial sales will be lost to Ford. 200 miles plus is plenty for the average commercial user. They are marketing strongly to them.
The bigger issue is can they survive the transition from ICE to EV...
Is anyone getting invites still or did all 1st wave invites go out on the 6th? My dealer implies that the 1st wave is ongoing and that we could still be placing orders for 1st wave. Not sure if they are just confused by Ford's handling of this process or not.
Seems odd that dealerships are so...
Anyone else have a priority #1 at their dealership and not been able to place an order in 1st wave?
So my dealer in WV has 14 preorders. He was allotted 5. Good knowledgeable dealer I trust that did me right on my Bronco order. Received one of the 1st Bronco's in east region.
I am #2 via...
I agree with some of the stated advantages Mary Bara claims and your thoughts on them being an advantage over the Lightning but I will say I have many friends in construction that have gone from diesel to the F 150 Hybrid and are blown away with the added mileage per tank they are getting. The...
Funny how quick you are to judge me by a current job while you qualify yourself twice in this thread as, "I lived in the south for nearly 30 years. ", and " at least, was in the auto industry from 1980 until about 2000". So you got to see what bad looked like. Ask Sandy Munro what he thinks of...
We'll see. That electric Silverado has to find 700k buyers a year to replace the ICE version by 2035. I bet it won't be close if GM is still even in business then. I believe Ford will distance itself from GM in truck sales even more every year moving forward.
GM's 90 year dominance as top US...
I don't think you are going to see that Electric Avalanche look alike sell to contractors, farmers and people who want a truck for utility. Going to sell to middle to high income white collar dads that want a truck to go to Home Depot/ski slopes, the dump, etc.
In the south trucks are so...
They are dead in the water. How many Hummers to you think they will sell compared to F150's and even Cybertrucks. You need economy of scale and vertical integration to make margin. They can't do it and have no real plan.
The future is electric and they are not vertically integrated, have...
Chevy, our country's top EV company according to the Biden administration has sold 26 EV's this month and has now released their 2024 Silverado EV renderings.
This just shows how out of touch they are with the market. Ford hit a home run by keeping it traditional look that will allow them to...
Anyone know when we build our order and that trim has sold out if it will let you know immediately or will we find out later and possibly miss out on the next trim level?
Reason I ask is I am leaning towards a Pro or a XLT without extended range battery. As we know those trim levels have very...
Fixated, not so much really. Let me ask how fixated are you with the time you spend on this site? Just trying to be real.
It is all good, just having fun. I went through this with my Bronco order and enjoyed the whole process right up to delivery.
