  1. Time to push for a recall on 9.75” 3/4 floating locker axle issue.

The latest letter I got regarding 22B34 (July 2023) made it v sound like the assembly should be replaced out right as opposed to the last letter which suggested an inspection first. I just took it in for the wiper motor recall and they stated 22B34 is only inspection and tighten so did not order...
  2. Payload Hit compared to EB

Nice numbers! I knew I was going to get spray in and would have preferred linex as it’s thicker and more coverage on the tailgate but I knew it was also that much heavier than the “thin” factory one. I’ll also have to weigh the truck sometime as I added a tonneau and cat shield/skid plate. Cat...
  3. Payload Hit compared to EB

    It's 4x4
  4. Payload Hit compared to EB

Had this same exact situation where I was configuring very payload conscious. I squeezed out ~1520 on a 502A with this The config on this thread has around 1320 payload, https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/f-150-powerboost-available-morgan-hill-ca.7320/
  5. Securing Truck While Running Pro Power

That's one of the main reasons I went for the Retrax tonneau, I can lock it down to the crack the wire would need to snake out while keeping the rest of the bed more or less secure.
  6. F-150 Powerboost available Morgan Hill CA

For anyone looking for an in stock Powerboost Morgan hill ford has this one at the dealership. They are a volume (lower price) shop so might but worth a look.
  7. Hands Free Experience

I didn’t know you can set the distance anywhere. I’ll have to look into that. I also just noticed that you have to press the resume button from a stand still to get it going again. It seems just a brief 0 mph would auto resume. (To correct my earlier observation)
  8. Hands Free Experience

Yes actually that was another annoying thing, I felt like I had to keep pulling it a little to the left in the left lane but justified it thinking maybe it assumes there might be a wall/barrier, etc. I found it centered more in the center lanes?
  9. Hands Free Experience

I also managed to get 30 mpg from the top of the mountain down (and declare 675 miles left to empty!) and about 24 for the whole trip back. At $5.69 per gallon I’ll take any mpg I can get.
  10. Hands Free Experience

Truckee is where I exactly went as well. I did not hit much traffic fortunately (unfortunately?). When I did I felt like it was slow to initially slow down. It does start back up from stop by itself but is a little slow on the pick up.
  11. Hands Free Experience

Just completed a trip from the Bay Area to Tahoe and back. I’d say I did roughly 80 percent hands free and overall impressed. There were a couple cases which I’m hoping they can improve. The first is when I have the speed limit set to something higher for highway speeds however when a curve...
  12. Long awaited Job 2 Lariat PowerBoost

Finally got the 502A I ordered after canceling my April order to get the CCD, smart scale and smart hitch. This thing is awesome! Played with Blue Cruise on a local high way. It kept the lane and adjusted well enough. Plugged the camper into the 7.2 kW ProPower. Got the retrax xr installed. The...
  13. Job 2 Powerboost 502A Order Update Plus Payload

I forgot to mention I configured this with a heavy emphasis on retaining payload capacity given I’ll be towing a travel trailer a decent amount with family. There were a few “heavy” options I left out because of this such as the power tailgate, moonroof, and larger wheels.
  14. Job 2 Powerboost 502A Order Update Plus Payload

That's good to know. I was on the fence anyway. The description when selecting said it needed to be ordered together so I clicked it but there was nothing on the UI preventing me from NOT doing so.
  15. Job 2 Powerboost 502A Order Update Plus Payload

Ordered a Job 2 June 17th with the Continuously Controlled Dampening (and Onboard Scale which was required to get CCD). Build to day Sept 26! Looks like they removed the auto start/stop automatically. Forewent an April order to wait for the Job 2 updates. Payload Rating: 1527 lbs Notable...
  16. Limited Lightning Tow Range

This new hands on video by Marques Brownlee is interesting in terms of new (tow) range information
  17. Limited Lightning Tow Range

  18. Limited Lightning Tow Range

I'm a bit torn too between the Cybertruck (day 1 tri-motor reservation) which we know nothing more about since 2019 or going through with a Powerboost order which checks a lot of boxes minus the terrible payload...
  19. Limited Lightning Tow Range

Agreed, I would want 200 minimum but that seems unlikely. It seems that the Powerboost is the better platform for towing and power generation. Just wish there was more payload on it...
  20. Limited Lightning Tow Range

Looks like the cache was removed as well... Although their popularity has grown by leaps and bounds over the last decade, EVs haven’t gone mainstream just yet, accounting for just 1.8 percent of US car sales last year. But their time may have finally be upon us thanks to Ford and the new...
