  1. New look at the EV factory

So what's the shakedown period for a plant like this 6 months +-. Or is this Fords first plant of this type so 9 months?
  2. Reservation holders for 2022 F-150 Lightning - sign in here!

Me Three.. For a moment my heart skipped a beat then tarnations....
  3. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

We will have to see but such a situation would be ripe to legal challenge. Membership will have to open to all citizens or it is not open at all. Once you take Federal dollars, all kinds of strings come with it, esp. if you are trying to stay proprietary. Just can't see any rule making body...
  4. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

I don't think the rule making entity for that $7.5 Billion will even allow 'preferential' treatment for TSLA vehicles. No such thing exists on the other networks.
  5. July/Aug Issue Of Car & Driver dedicated 100% to electric vehicles

Wow! Not even an emergency vehicle or gawker crowd....
  6. "EVs require less maintenance" … oh really … : )

On my 7th EV, no really maintenance costs to speak off even early on. My Etron had a faulty brake light, but I think it was just a bad batch could have happened on any car.
  7. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

Not a clue what you are going on about but... ..what we have here is a failure to commmunimakate:D... Another poor location in my area. Most of the stores are closed in its kinda an abandoned strip mall feel near a downscale Kroger. No one in their right mind would have put one here. But the...
  8. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

This is fanboi stuff. What success are you talking about. You are getting way side tracked here and making wild claims of success for a bit player. Well put the TSLA charge network on the market and see what its worth. Not much based on what I can see. Another bad newer install. This is...
  9. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

Like I said when you talk like a fanboi you are a fanboi.... ...appeals to authority are pointless. I care about reality. See I don't defend the CCS network as a fanboi. If it is a bad location I will say it is a bad location. Fanboi not so much. So many TSLA charger locations are horrible. I...
  10. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

Your appeals to authority are weird. Nice that you took the picture to eliminate the stinky trash dumpster 6' to the left of you. See I stood there and smelled the stink esp. of the diesel Semi idling right there. So I don't have to imagine how horrible a location that is. I know it is a...
  11. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

Nah its just blind worship that is mind bending to watch. Up is down, left is right, garbage locations are market gold, Right next to an Arbys grease trap is the ideal location for charging. Try this one again in my area, next to a TJ maxx garbage facility. Again ideal right.:ROFLMAO: I can...
  12. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

If you were an actual local you would know just how bad of an arm pit location that is. (n) I mean that's the thing with the Golden God Musk right. He can do no wrong and his dart throwing from California always hits the spot, even here in KS, the locals know nothing. BS is far sighted, deleted...
  13. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

Heh! Rite by the dumpster and next to the Arbys drive thru...:ROFLMAO: ..Just making stuff up he says... ..the difference is I know some of the blow smoke history of the technoguy... ..stole abunch of ideas claimed he invented it all... ...now trying to sell piece of shitte as golden melon.
  14. Tesla opening Superchargers to other automakers this year.

We will see. If history is any guide nothing usable will come of it. This is not the first time TSLA has tried this only to back out later. Not the lack of comment on joining the de Facto industry standards. Historically TSLA will demand all manner of compensation and demand standards to...
  15. Ford 80A Charge Station Pro

Details are not released but the next step up of the charge standard Char-In, basically everyone but TSLA, is designed to incorporate vehicle to home power. First CCS, then CCS-1, next up is Char-In standard. We will have to see if the F-150 follows the Char-In, (Ford is a founding member) in...
  16. Lightning bigger than my garage!

You can move your solar array to a sub-panel and back feed from there. That's how one of mine is set up. Main to 60 amp panel to (4) 20 amp solar back feed and (1) 50 amp to 40 amp EVSE.
  17. Placed Cybertruck order after Lightning reservation

The rest of the industry auto driving efforts seem to be working just fine with Radar. I think this is TSLA discontenting, an easy $500 to knock of the cost of manufacture. Same with the Lumbar support, another easy $150. Keep in mind the lumbar removal was not even announced. I'm very certain...
  18. Lithium EV vs Up coming Solid State EV

I don't see the point of waiting. It is entirely possible if there is enough demand to swap out a Li-Ion battery for a SSB battery 10 years from now. This is happening right now for EV's that have been on the road for 10+ years. There is always something cooler coming. The SSB's don't have...
  19. 15.5" infotainment screen vs. 12" screen

I have the 15" screen on the MachE and like it. look forward to getting it on the F150 Lightning. I can read everything without sqinting and the navigation pane shows a lot more coverage. By the time you take out the border and the lettering and controls the nav screen becomes this teeny tiny...
  20. Lightning Dashboard Rant

It looks like a screen that is cross platform shared with the MachE and probably needs wider use to keep cost low. Look for it to show up in more models. I like it in my Mach-E.
