Took care of it myself since Ford is complete trash.
Wet sanded, wet sanded, and wet sanded some more. Put down some cleaner, primed, painted, clear coat, wet sanded some more, the compounded the roof. It didn't come out perfect by any means but better than the peeling paint. Good thing it's up...
Hah yeah the price is unreal. But cheaper than letting a shop do it. I had no problem on passenger side really with a 9" extension. Driver side was a pain due to the wiring loom but overall not to bad.
Just wanted to throw a little thread together for people who may not know how to do a spark plug change.
F-150 2.7L, 4WD XLT Sport SCREW. Truck has 55k on the odometer. All the spark plugs were out of spec at .032" or greater. I noticed a little bit of a drop in MPG and an occasional rough...
Been fighting with Ford since October 2023...they won't cover it.
I'll be sanding down the paint with 3k and 4k sandpaper and painting it myself with some Oxford white paint and clear coating it then spending time to buff it smooth.
Such bullshit that Ford takes our money yet fails to...
Ford won't cover it as I'm past the 36k bumper warranty. The perforation aspect won't cover it as theres no holes in the body. Last month they said they can't even get me in for an estimate until March. Ford QC and CS is an absolute joke. They provide a garbage product and charge a premium...
Lmao...that bot jumps in every thread. Headed to dealer on my way home from work. Just to see what they say. Then calling corporate. I'm just so sick of garbage quality and customer service. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong this time.
Corporate will pull my file and instantly go "crap, not...
Wastewater driver side went bad. It's starting to go again it showing the early signs like last time. I have the 125k extended warranty on this truck but it'll prob long gone by then. Drive it to the landfill and drop it off. Passenger seat rattling (when not occupied), dealer hears it but can't...
2.5yrs...phew that's long term.
The truck should have ZERO flaking at 2.5yrs old. This truck gets taken care of very well and consistently washed/waxed throughout year. This is flat out unacceptable
Ford won't step up to the normal consumer. My 2019 when my truck was in the shop over 70 days they refused rentals, wanted the loaner back. Found mold in the cab from water leak and once I got legal involved they took care of the issue ASAP and won my case against them. Then in shop for over 30...
Between my 2019 nightmare of a truck (cab leak, cracked in a body weld, transmission replaced at 37k, 5.0 sucking 3.5qts every 4k) and now my 2021 (turbo wastegste already replaced at 19k).
My 2021 F150 now has paint peeling from the roof near the rain channel. Of course it happens 6 months...
Coming from a 2019 5.0 and a Dodge HEMI before that an oil change cain't get any easier than this 2.7. I like the location of the oil filter, zero oil spill and accessible (I'm short and can reach it). A scribe to remove the old o-rings and they come right off then slop on the ones that come...
I'll be shocked if I get 200k out of a modern vehicle that is not a Honda/Toyota and I change my oil/fluids regularly etc. On my 2019 when I took legal litigation against FoMo. Multiple reps and the Field Service Engineer (FSE) I met with at the Ford dealer when my truck was in the shop for 90+...
Dang...I'd hot up AlphaRex send them some photos and I'm sure they'll send you a replacement as they have a 2year warranty.
How do you change the DRL color?? Where is said switch...you have the LUXX right?
Installed Bilstein 5100 shocks on the rear of my truck. Was shocked to see how bad the driver side was compared to passenger side. When I pulled them off I compressed driver/passenger side together and the driver side would come to full extension 2 seconds quicker than passenger. Happy with the...
