  1. Recall #21S56 - Loose / Sagging Underbody Insulators (Driveshaft Fracture Hazard)

Ok, new one to me. Took my Powerboost in for this recall today. Service Writer told me there is a new procedure for the Powerboost trucks that calls for removing the existing insulation under the truck, and installing new insulation inside the truck under the flooring. I asked if this...
  2. Intelligent Cruis sign recognition not working message

Mine just started doing this as well. Starting to sound like a software bug.
  3. Co-pilot 360 assist 2.0 worth it ?

Should have zero impact on the tires. It isn’t like you get to control one and the computer controls the other. When you resist the force of the truck you are working against an electric motor that is trying to move the steering the opposite direction. I find that I will hold pressure on it...
  4. Intelligent Cruise Control with speed limit recognition

I have the exact same complaint. A bit shocking to be in traffc and have the truck suddenly decelerate from 75 headed to 55. I did step on the gas to stop it but I think this is dangerous.
  5. 12V battery low warning message at startup

I got this message tonight. 5500 miles into ownership. It started fine but put the warning on the dash. Only sat for a couple of days…
  6. What did you NOT expect, but LOVE about your '21 F-150?

Ok, hang with me here for a second. A modern bee hive is made up of several boxes stacked on each other. The colony “Lives” in the two lowest and biggest boxes (commonly called “deeps”) that are about 10 inches tall, Honey gets stored in medium boxes, 8 inches tall and often called “honey...
  7. 2021 PowerBoost and Towing... Terrible MPG while towing

I pulled a 6500 lb camper about 200 miles across Wisconsin today. First 100 miles on the interstate in normal mode at 71 MPH, no intervention on the transmission by me. 8.5 MPG calculated after pumping gas. Second half of the trip was on two Lane highway at 61 MPH and I locked out 8, 9 and...
  8. Thanks Ford for the Confusion

My take is the new sensor likely works better than the “old” sticker method. Why they didn’t have it ready to go right out of the gates I have no idea. I will say that I am looking forward to the update. I do rent a camper about once a year and while I don’t see the value in temporarily...
  9. Powerboost EV Coach

After weeks of trying to maximize my mileage I finally found myself running a bit tight on time and drove it like I would drive any other car… and I found out that I got better mileage. Not driving hard by any stretch of the imagination, but just my normal habits (rather than driving like a 90...
  10. Engine fan runs continuously in 110 degree heat!

THe only fan noise I notice in mine (other than the AC) is the ventilated seat fans. They are louder than I would have guessed. Also find it interesting that they turn themselves on if it is hot outside.
  11. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

Here’s is the weird thing… I only have about 1200 miles on my Powerboost, and had been getting about 21 MPG. The day I hit 1000 miles I drove about 90 miles to an event. On that trip I got 24.2 mph (per the computer). The trip home was in a reasonably heavy rain, but little wind and I got...
  12. ? F-150 LARIAT Lounge ?

Maybe I am expecting to much… First, I REALLY Like my new truck. 2021 F-150 Lariat Powerboost with the 5.5 foot bed and Max Tow. First issue was that the dealer never gave me the card with the master code to unlock the doors using the push buttons… No big deal right? There is a procedure to...
  13. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

This is literally where we get the phrase “your mileage may vary” I am at about 800 miles and am now seeing about 20 mpg over the last 300 miles or so. For whatever reason my mileage got 1 or 2 MPG better when I quit trying to get good mileage and just started driving the way I normally do...
  14. F-150 PowerBoost's Unique Reverse / Backup Alert Sound

This!! I have a golf cart with a back up beeper on it and I thought a piece of tape across the face would just pull it down to a reasonable volume. It turns out one piece of electrical tape was actually too quiet for what I wanted. I have to think there is a easy solution here.
