I only used Costco and shell gas so I think I ruled out the quality of gas. However it feels like the computer gets triggered to fire up the gasoline a certain way after an event. May need the spark plugs changed to start eliminating that easy step.
I use the same gas on the PB and never had...
On my 2021 EB it took 6-7k miles before things settled. My 22 PB was fine out the gate. Sometimes on the EB I would get only 18 mpg I have to restart it to get it t back up to 22-34 mpg. Got rid of the EB. No answers on the why.
I come from Mercedes where we torqued everything to spec. I just use elbow tight and no problems or leaks the last 7 oil changes.. We had a washer on my mercedes and depending on the washer, the torque changed. I got tired of being a perfectionist on something like an oil drain plug.
I had a 2021 F150 platinum and noticed a few times that my highway mpg got stuck just around 17.8mpg. It was weird. The third time it was happening. I pulled over, restarted the vehicle, and things turned back to normal.
I can’t imagine what caused it. I have a 2022 f150 powerboost with 6k miles...
So it seems like the entire system is 2.4kw so even if one plug says 20amps it doesn’t mean both outlets can run 20 amps at the same time. Both plugs in the bed should run two devices up to 20amps total.
You may have a separate smaller inverter under your seat. The outlets in my vehicle can...
technically,120v x 10amps can handle 1200 watts, but it would make more sense if it was 20amp total in the system . Not 10 amp each plug.
It’s not the constant current the appliance draws that’s usually the issue. It’s the spike at the initial turning on of the device that can spike up to 6000...
i couldn’t find any videos either.
I didn’t take off the metal skid plate but you do have to take off the plastic cover underneath. The drain plug is right there towards the front side. You can’t miss it.
The filter is hard to get to.l and hard to take off. The oil from the filter drains...
Yes. I loosened the oil cap, drained it from the bottom , put on the new filter but only hand tightened it, , and filled her back up.
I’m going to try to use an oil pump to see if I can get oil from the dip stick pipe directly. It’s much cleaner.
Ok. I am an idiot. I didn't know you can program it, but I got it right before I had to leave town, so I only had a few minutes with it. When I get back, I'll look at it. Thank you so much for the followup. Ever grateful!
I got this to test on a 2HP Air Compressor. It didn't work because the air compressor needs the spike to get the motor running. It was worth a shot though.
With the advancements these days on high voltage battery tools, I Rather charge those batteries and run them independently if that makes sense for the scenarios.
Most people here it when they gun it in first gear. Pulling a heavy load with boost pressure, needs some type of release.
Still, keep an eye on it, but as long as the vehicle doesn't go into limp mode or throws any errors, you should be fine. Even if it does, it may be a temporary thing...
Has anyone used this? I leave my truck at the airport months sometimes and the thought about using this every other day to keep the battery charged up a little.
