Apparently it wasn't the bearings either as it still makes the noise. So we're back to "coordinating" the next step through Ford's "hotline" (whatever that is). Over five weeks, no truck, no loaner, no concern on Ford's part about customer service. I had a 2015 XLT with 60,000 miles with the...
Just to follow-up. I took the truck in and the new service manager could hear the noise and they replaced a 4WD actuator. Noise was still there, maybe worse. Scheduled another appointment and the 2nd time around they took apart the trans-axle and there are three bearings that are bad. So, I'm...
I have two noises on my 2021 F150 Eco-Boost Lariat. In cold weather (below 30 degrees) I can hear a rhythmic ticking or rubbing sound (sounds similar to brakes grinding - but it's not that) coming from the front end when in regular drive mode. Engine noise will mask most of it but it can be...
I've been researching dash cams and currently thinking about the NextBase 522GW. Does anyone have that and does it work well with the mirror tap on this link?

If no one is using that camera...
How long will it take before Ford provides a list of VIN's that were on that train? Surely some people are going to get some bad news. I suspect I may be one of them.
If you can get a rail car number from your dealer, there is a phone number you can call at Norfolk Southern to track it. You don’t even need to talk to anyone. I’m waiting on my dealer to provide the rail car number.
Palsapp shows my truck shipped from Kansas City, MO and was delivered to Birminghan, MO today. Is there anything else available to track it from there?
6/30 Blend
7/2 Production = still not showing built
7/30 ETA Start Date
8/5 ETA End Date
In Production has no check mark and the order is not marked as built which I assume means it's waiting on wheel well liners.
Order Date: 04-15-21
Blend Date: 06-30-21
Prod Date: 07-02-21
ETA Date: 08-05-21
Updated today!
I'm supposed to get wheel well liners so I'm not sure how that plays into this ...
My 6/30 blend still hasn't moved off "In Production" and I have no other dates except the order date. My Ford Pass app did add two new functions (Ambient Lighting and Pro Power Onboard) within the past two days, but I don't know if that means anything.
I originally had a 5/24 build week. I don't know when it changed because my dealer would say "no change, still end of the month" rather than just tell me the date. Some where along the line "end of the month" became June 30th rather than May 24th. I checked the tracker every day to see if time...
I'm trying to gauge what the backlog will be when KC begins production the week of 6/14 (if they do). I ordered my truck on 4/15 and received a VIN on 4/16 with a build week of 5/24. The plant shut down the ensuing Monday 4/19. Who has build weeks planned in April and May in KC, what are the...
I don't have one but I read somewhere and it seems to apply that you would have to leave some space in the bed (front) in order to initially push the cover down to get it to retract.
IF you look back at the OP, he was questioning MPG and ROI so I provided data based on averages. I'm not providing ANY opinions on the subjective choices as to which is better.
Assuming the PB gets 24 MPG and the 5.0 gets 18 MPG and the 18,400 are annual miles. The breakeven at $3 a gallon would be 3.26 years. The PB would use 766 gallons for a total of $2300. The 5.0 would use 1022 gallons for a total of $3066. The annual difference is $766 and the PB costs $2500...
So the KC F150 plant has been idle since 4/19/21 and won't re-open at the earliest until 6/1/21? (Assuming they'll be closed 5/31/21 For Memorial Day).
I ordered my Lariat 502A on 4/15/21 and received a VIN and build date of 5/24/21 the next day. I didn't order 5 things that may have impacted that but who knows. No power running boards, off road, moon roof, 20" wheels or max tow.
