For almost a year, if I opened the drivers door, it unlocked all of the other doors. It was this way this morning, but this afternoon the other doors remained locked. If I went to the passenger side front door, and opened it, all doors unlocked. After searching the online menu, I found the...
Look around for used winter tires/wheels that people are taking off. Last spring I purchased Take off 2020 Lariat rims/sensors with studded winter tires, all used for about five months, for $600. Even if you just buy take off rims, you can usually buy them on Kijiji for less than new steel...
Try Kijiji, I bought a set of like new 18" take offs with sensors and winter tires used for one winter for $600. I saw several sets of rims alone for around $300 for a set of four.
I am pretty much limited to city driving for the winter, and in our winter temperatures, my fuel consumption has climbed to 13.3l/100km, or 17.7 usmpg. And of course we are now using winter fuel.
It's hard to believe how much things have changed since last spring, I ordered my F150 mid March, and received it the second week in May. The VIN was issued in less than a week, and the build date was assigned a week later. The truck was actually delivered a week earlier than the expected...
My rear brake assist is turned off after three incidents of the brakes slamming on, when backing into my garage. I just wish that I could get rid of the stupid alarm.
If I drove in a strong crosswind, and had to make a lot of steering corrections as I passed obstacles that blocked the wind, the truck would assume that there was an issue with me falling asleep or being tired, and a "driver alert" would appear. Luckily, I was able to go into the menu and...
I guess that I have just been lucky 20,000km, and no real issues. My only issues were disabling so much of the features that I don't need or want, like the rear braking assist, or the express seat, and the notice that comes in when driving in a strong crosswind.
The rear brake assist is an attempt to idiot proof some incompetent drivers, but those of us that are capable of driving safely without this crap, find it more of a hazard than a benefit.
After having the rear braking assist suddenly apply the brakes while backing into my garage for the third time, this time causing the vehicle to slide on the ice and almost hit the door frame, I disabled the rear raking assist. I have no idea why brakes were applied, there was nothing the truck...
Last spring, I did some online searching(kijiji) and found a set of take off Lariat aluminum wheels with sensors, and studded winter tires , all used one winter for $600. If you look in spring, there are usually quite a few people selling winter tires/rims that they just took off.
