I would go ahead and give it a try and see if it works. You might try the other set of wires if the first set don't work.

I had the same issue. The wiring instructions are wrong. The two wires should be next to each other. Try hooking to the green wire next to the white with green stripe wire.

Thanks for the heads up. I did order the SMART as I couldn't justify the price on the XTREME and I live in South Florida so I didn't see the need for the dual motors. Glad they gave you a refund as the price difference is a good amount.

I fall into that category of mechanic as well so I don't see any issue with the installation. It looks like a fun afternoon project. I got mine at TonneauCovered.com and felt the price was very fair.

I couldn't order them on my Supercab so I purchased a set of AMP Powersteps (Plug and Play)Model 76152-01A for $1470.00. Seems like a lot but these are real nice steps and make the truck look better in my opinion. I'll be installing them myself when the truck arrives. Check out some YouTube...

Update for me: Order Confirmed Mar 10, May 8 blend, 2613 sequence #. Produced 06-24 and 08-08 ETA, the day after my birthday. Hopefully I get it before then :)

The Lariat's don't come pre-wired for the AMP steps, but it is a simple plug and play installation. The harness will run from the engine bay to each side of the cab and one part of the harness will plug into the ODB port and control the up and down movement. There are many great videos on...
