Finally got around to putting a coat of wax on it.
Used CHEMICAL GUYS BUTTER WET wax.
Worked very well. Easy on and more importantly, easy off.
Nice shine, feels smooth like glass and beads like crazy.
I bought one of these and at first I thought it was to big but it will fit. It is a tight fit but it does go in. Need to push it towards the rear of the truck. Also seems to have loosened up a bit since I put it in a couple of weeks ago.
80k (about 50 miles)
Had it 2 weeks now. Put 700k on it so far.
Still on the first tank of fuel and still have over a 1/4 tank left. So far the mileage is bang on what the window sticker said. I have been driving it like a grumpy old bastard though. Because I am. LOL
Yup
That’s what I did today.
Needle nose vies grips worked well.
The nickels weren’t enough. Took those out and put in hex nuts that were just over double the thickness of the nickels.
Lid now stays up when on an incline.
As long as those nuts don’t pop out of there, should be all good.
You can get that door pad code using both of your key fobs in the truck. YouTube it. Looks like a simple procedure.
Congrats on finally getting it.
I’m loving mine so far.
I’ve only had my truck for about a week now but so far I like the feature. I am wondering how it’s going to work out in the winter when it’s very cold out. There will always be the option of hitting the button the dash.
