The replacement they sent to me was flawless. I ended up not installing it though. It’s just sitting in my basement in a box. I’ll be listing it for sale soon
@rugedraw would you mind checking my VIN again? I got a slew of updates after my APIM was replaced and then they stopped about a month ago.

I appreciate the input. I wanted both heated/ventilated and after some research here it was suggested to buy the actual seats from a totaled lariat. I couldn’t find any that weren’t several thousand so this was the more economical approach. It’s kind of funny you mentioned the heated pads. My...
Bump
I wired in a 5 pin 30 amp relay to power the two degreez units. I did the following wiring to the relay:
Pin 30 - directly wired to the positive terminal on the battery
Pin 85 - grounded to the factory ground behind the rear seat on the drivers side
Pin 87 - wired to the heated/ventilated...
I got the pan just to make it easier to change the fluid.
Not much towing other than my snowmobile trailer in the winter.
I went back and double checked and noticed even more of these things all throughout the pan. Kind of a bummer

Opinions on this causing issues down the road? I’m thinking it’ll be ok I just want to be sure before I install...
Same happened to me. I got my truck back on a Monday, set the schedule for Tuesday at 11pm. I didn’t get my first update until the following Tuesday (8 days after getting my new APIM).
Once I setup the schedule I've gotten an update every week like clockwork. Seems like the folks that were stuck in the 1.7s are also starting to get updates rolled out to them
TJ on the right side of the pan where it drops down is it possible to drill a hole to drain the existing fluid out? Or are there transmission components right there? I'm also going to install that same PPE pan and want to avoid the shower as well.
I think I have it nailed down. I needed a 5 pin 30 amp fuse. It came in today so I’m going to try installing the wiring after work. I’ll update this thread after
I recently installed katzkin degreez units and their covers in my truck. The last step of the process for me is to tap a power source for heated/ventilated units. For those that have installed aftermarket seat heaters where did you tap for keyed power?
