  1. Rate the new Bang & Olson 18 Speaker stereo.

If that is actually the case (and not just people exaggerating on the internet), then those people either have serious hearing loss or a malfunction with their truck. I tested mine again this morning, and I could easily hear lyrics at 6. That was too soft for everyday listening, but I could...
  2. Rate the new Bang & Olson 18 Speaker stereo.

I couldn't believe all the people complaining about "not loud enough" so I downloaded a decibel meter on my phone and at max volume it was over 90 decibels. I only had it there for a second or two because it was so loud I didn't want to piss off the neighbors. When you are over 90 decibels...
  3. where do you keep your keys when camping?

In the camper at night and on my person when out and about.
  4. Lariat vs Platinum?

Your list is missing power running boards and the 360 Active 2.0 package. The Active 2.0 package is the hands-free driving "BlueCruise" package, but it also adds the active park assist and, on the Lariat, it also adds the front parking sensors. I have a 502A without the Active 2.0, and the 360...
  5. Lariat Sport option - possible to get black door cards and dash accents?

I didn't like the red accents in the pictures, but they were much better in person and I've grown to like them more and more over time. Many of the pictures of the red accents online do a terrible job showing what it actually looks like. It's more subtle in real life. Also, when you are in...
  6. Pro Trailer Assist

Came in a big bag in the backseat of the truck with some zipties and instructions.
  7. Pro Trailer Assist

This is our first truck and we bought our first camper (18' Aliner) a couple weeks ago. We have never towed a trailer before, much less backed one up, and we were able to get the Aliner backed into the garage in about 5 minutes using the pro backup assist. There is about 8-10" of clearance on...
  8. Shopping For a new Lariat. Advice on options

Yup. On XL/XLT, tailgate step is a stand-alone option. On Lariat, KR and Plat, the power tailgate and tailgate step are a package deal. Most KRs and Plats will have 601A and 701A, which includes the power and step, so it's mostly a Lariat only issue.
  9. Shopping For a new Lariat. Advice on options

Powerboost - I like mine, but I don't get 24 combined, more like 20-22 depending on who is driving. Still love mine because we can run the camper off the generator. FX4 - be honest with yourself, are you really doing real off-roading in this truck? Driving down dirt roads does not require an...
  10. what did you pay for your 2021 F150?

502A Lariat Powerboost. Purchased 03/2021. They also gave me middle of KBB for my trade. My guess is this is unobtainable right now. At the time, I found a dealer that was willing to match Granger's pricing on an in-stock unit, although it was a little higher than Granger because (according...
  11. PLEASE HELP!

I’ve found that coaxing it into ev only is more important than driving like a total grandma. I’m not saying floor it at every light, but I get about the same mileage driving like a grandma as I do using average acceleration to get up to speed and then coaxing it into ev. Also, getting 100%...
  12. My 2021 F150 PowerBoost Platinum Experiences

That's about what I am getting in my 502A PB. The mileage is sort of boom or bust. If you manage to get it just right, you can really crank up the mpg (obligatory awesome trip summary photo below). If you don't, you'll end up in the high teens. I've also noticed that even when it's 60-70...
  13. Input on Trim Decision, please? (Lariat v Platinum)

My 502A PB is at 1534. I don't have power tailgate, power running boards, FX4 or Active 2.0, but I have pretty much everything else (7.2kw, roof, unleashed, 360 camera, max tow). You can get a little more payload with the 502a while retaining most of the luxury.
  14. Frustrated With Tonneau Search...Perfect Tonneau?

Is there a hard tri-fold that allows you to easily remove it from the bed after you fold it up? I would like a hard tri-fold, but I haul bikes with a tailgate pad often and they won't fit with the last third of a tri-fold in place (and I'm not crazy about driving with the rear window blocked).
  15. My Lariat Supercrew Powerboost w/ 6.5' bed

I see all these mentions about the Unleashed not being loud enough, and they make me feel about 50 years older than I am. If you are actually listening to the Unleashed system at even 75% on a regular basis, then you are for sure doing damage to your hearing. I don't think I've ever gotten it...
  16. What is this thing in my center console?

It's 100% a cell phone holder. The notch at the bottom allows your phone to stay upright even when plugged in. It works so-so.
  17. Ford Tests BlueCruise Hands-Free Driving in “Mother of All Road Trips” Ahead of F-150 OTA Software Update

For anyone trying to decide whether to get this, I will say that as a "young" guy, I really wanted the Active 2.0 to get the hands free driving. We ended up settling on an in-stock unit without it because we're impatient, the truck was almost perfectly optioned otherwise, the dealer matched...
  18. Input on Trim Decision, please? (Lariat v Platinum)

I'd get the Lariat Sport, but that's a pretty biased opinion because I did get the Lariat Sport. There is plenty of room in that front compartment to put your own wireless charger. The leather is a bigger issue, but the Lariat was nice enough for me. The only thing I sort of wish I had is the...
  19. N-Fab RS steps installed

Looks great. Making me regret not holding out for the Velo Blue
  20. Customer Survey

When I sold cars, you could write whatever nasty stuff you wanted in the comments box and it wouldn't hurt us, so long as the checkboxes were all good. It's my understanding that this is how it still is for most manufacturers. If you really want to make sure the dealer is unscathed (which...
