Does anyone know when this will be available for the F150? I'm a little blistered that I paid for the optional hardware but cannot use the technology to play euchre while on my long road-trips :)
you get 24MPG? That's amazing. Not that I'm all about mileage (I'm fine with the 16-17MPG I get), I haven't broken 18-19MPG and I'm consistent in the 99% range for acceleration, braking, etc. I use eco mode on the highway when not towing and when using cruise, never use sport - and no where...
I had this problem on my 2018 ALL the time when we hit single digits Fahrenheit (Michigan). There was a recall, where they installed 'shields' that were supposed to cover the locking mechanisms and prevent ice from forming - but still had occasional issues. With my 2021, and being in the...
No. It was intentional. All of the debate/discussion on dongles connectors and compatibility as well as charging limitations in this thread makes hybrids seem far more practical than a 100% EV. Not trying to ruffle feathers - just an honest observation.
Sorry everyone - enjoy your EV's. You're better men/woman than me. I need to get in and go, as far and when I want. I have a F150 Powerboost - love it (it's not perfect, but awesome). I can't ever live with ever having to worry about "charged enough overnight to get to Chatanooga". :)
I too reserve Trip B for lifetime detail, but I'm a little disappointed that with all the technical capability in the new F150 powerboost, there isn't a widget in the Vehicle panel that shows a detailed view of lifetime views (idle - gas & electric, on board battery status or cycles), MPG, etc...
On my 2021 Lariat PB, have you all noticed that when you start your vehicle and look at the nav screen, there's a compass circle that surrounds the vehicle pointer for about 2-3 seconds, then disappears completely. Has anyone figured out a way to keep that enabled? Sorry - don't have a picture...
It was a good rant, but I have no doubt that the #1 reason Ford wants us to use their software vs a 3rd party is, in part, so they can collect the driver and vehicle data. Using a 3rd party platform might be a bit trickier (legally) and even expose FoMoCo to unwanted lawsuits if a 3rd party...
I think you might be confusing the two. The software ($600 upgrade) is separate from the Assist 2.0 ($1000). You MUST have the assist 2.0 hardware option in your build for you to be able to install/use the software that will be released this fall (i.e. BlueCruise)
I was excited to see this thread as I have the same peeve. Seems like an easy fix! With all of the attention to detail on the UI/UX, this is definitely a shortcoming.
On my 2018, which had adaptive cruise - occasionally the adaptive cruise would shut down due to the radar sensor being covered with layer of ice or slush during the winter. When I ordered my 2021 PB, I had hoped that they might have improved the resiliency of the radar system. Well, while...
I agree with your post in general. Only having my PB for a week, I can see/sense the engineering that goes into making this whole 'machine' work. This is certainly the MVP (minimum viable product) on the road to full electrification. However, I do still feel that for trucks - you MUST have a...
I picked up my PB Lariat last week and checked the undercarriage as well - all looked pretty good (my build date was 4/28). You will notice a bit of rust on the rear/right wheel axle - not sure if that's evidence of where masking failed the 'undercoating coverup' or if it's just a natural...
I was in the same build cycle and my ETA was pushed to 10/31. My dealer JUST called me and said it showed up on the hauler with no notice. So moral of the story - there is hope and it seems the 10/31 was just put out as the worse case scenario. It's just a wait and see game.
Almost the exact same situation - but my order date was late Jan - loaded Lariat PB. I found a contact with connections who is looking into this for me. I'll post my findings on this thread.
