Unfortunately, the recall notices go away once addressed but I looked on my service description and the onlything that looks like it could be "recall 21b37"
Sorry for the following rant but this issue is a real sore spot with me.
I haven't seen it in a few weeks but what's really disturbing to me is the dealership telling me that even though I have both a picture and a video showing the issues happening, that "Ford" won't do anything about it...
I had the same low oil issue and took it to the dealer. My truck already had some recalls and one of them was to reprogram the computer. They told me that the oil issue was part of the fix. They're also supposed to do an oil change so that one is on them.
I haven't seen it go on in a month...
The damper above is actually inside the taillight and you have to replace the existing hinge so yes, you have to remove the tailgate.
I installed the taillight one. It's a tab you press if I remember correctly. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. It either pushes or pulls, I forget...
Wow, my experience was completely different. I was actually shocked at how easily mine went in. I was expecting a "gotcha" here and there but mine is pretty much issue-free. Mine just folds right up and down without any snags or misfires. Sounds like yours might not be squared properly from...
I get a tiny bit of water ( a line of raindrops across the tailgate) in the tailgate but nothing other than that. I'm pretty sure it's from the top side where the tailgate and sides of the truck meet. I opted for the F1 because I heard the Fiberglass outer shell is more difficult to scratch...
Most people advocating for 2 wheel don't live in snowy areas. I wouldn't get a truck without 4x4 here in the northeast. It's not a "can't drive" issue either. I've been driving in the snow for over 40 years and my first truck was rear wheel drive. Unless you want to switch to snow tires, put...
Okay, I just installed my remote aftermarket starter from Kickyride. It's KR-RS-FL8B. (I don't have anything to do with the company).
4 wires.
It says don't tap them because the taps will cause programming issues but I tapped the power and ground wires since they aren't carrying data.
The...
I had a Dee Zee damper and switched to the Ford for that reason. I didn't want to lose the cleat.
One thing that got me though was when I tried to remove the old hinge, I stripped both Torx bolts. They were on so tight the bolts essentially popped and stripped. I had to cut them out and...
I'll tell you one thing I did this weekend that sucked. I was replacing the standard tailgate roller hinge with the Ford tailgate damper and stripped the torx bolts trying to take the old hinge off. I think it was the paint around the bolts. The bolts turned until they stripped in a...
Yeah, I didn't realize I had a temperamental turn signal until the test ran. I would have probably driven around like that being too lazy to check myself. Worked great.
Power folding tow mirrors. I have a XL/STX with a few extras but that's the only one that's bothering me. My last F150 didn't have tow mirrors so I didn't realize how much of an issue they would be when parking. I'd like to add the power if possible. Does anyone know if the wiring is there...
I've noticed a bang and hard "catch" with the transmission. It's only happened about 4 times and it's always been when the truck wasn't under any acceleration load. It's bothering me though. It's as if the truck is gliding and then the transmission needs to go under load and bang. I'm sure...
