I would not change the gearing. For some of use that would hurt MPG, not help. Why?
As has been mentioned, efficiency goes to hell when these things go into boost. I downshift on some hills (ok, I lock out a few gears), and when towing I stone lock out 2 or three gears. I do this on both...
Mine does it too, but one has to be being picky, My wife would never notice. Ecoboosts have a slight stumble when they are cold. As I recall it's it's condensation in the intercooler. Goes away almost immediately. The start shudder, assuming we're talking about the same thing, is sorta...
I wish I knew. I'm going to talk to a larger and generally better Ford dealer to see if I can get some interest in figuring it out. The one in town just smiles and says the computer says it's fine. I've owned enough cars that misbehaved and never set off a computer to know better, but...
Just of laughs:
Two days ago I took the PB to my wife's school. Easily, even took highways. I suppose 35 miles round trip. I averaged 16mpg and ran 62mph.
Yesterday I did the same trip using 50% interstate at 77mph. And received 20mpg. And I noticed in town it was much more frequently...
My Vette, both bikes, my Tesla...
But I jest. For it's size, and for those of you getting good results, its impressive. Mine? Antonio Brown is more consistent.
I hate all of you! 😇
I was on a highway the other day: 62mph, 16 mpg.
i couldn’t get 20mpg at 80mph unless I had a 30mph tailwind. yet me dealer insists its fine.
suggestions?
If I drive SUPER conservative (slower in every aspect than anything near me), I might see 18 in very slow around town. I have never broken 19 on level interstate at 74mph. 80? I would not make 16. Ford had nothing to say.
A few things, in no particular order.
To clear up a few myths stated along the way:
Rim size, say 20" to 18" or vice versa, doesn't mean much, if anything, in and of itself. It certainly does no imply a calibration change is required.
As regards MPG, tire rotational mass can be a big...
Been learning a lot about PB, both as I considered buying one and now as an owner. Somehow I feel like there is more learning on this than on our Tesla!
There have been too many helpful folks to name them all, but I'd feel remiss if I didn't explicitly thank Snakebitten and Hammaman for...
SOme
Wait! What? You typically get 8 miles out of 30 in electric mode? Huh? How?
From a stop a bicycle, heck maybe a wheel chair, out accelerates anything I can do on-bat, and I'm pretty sure 40-42mph is top speed on electric mode for me. With a tailwind. I can't imagine any scenario...
All:
-50c has been mentioned a few times, as has Forscan. I'm sure most know this, but -50C is darn near -60f. Trying to find and change values to the degree of cold takes a mental stretch that may be a bridge too far. Particularly so close to a fuel tank. You may remember the shuttle...
Seems like I get in about once every 3 days. The rest of the time the test reports the login server test is down/failing. Down I guess. Again.
Suggestions? Phone number to call for support?
Thanks!

I suggest wiring your house assuming so. Ford says you can't. We'll see.
I'm going to use mine as a guinee pig and then we'll know. Going to do some crude parallel generator tests first, and none of that till we get a little warmer.
Drawing closure to this, I've laid down the tan and cocoa floormats as well as black tuxmats from my Tesla. My opinion, worth no more than you paid for it is:
1) Cocoa it is.
2) Tan is just too light, and while I was hoping to bring some lighter tones into the truck tan matts just looked...
