  1. Exterior door lock buttons

Fair enough. I just don't want to get in the habit and then make the mistake on the wife's car or a rental or something.
  2. Active Air Dam in action - deploying at 45 mph

That is funny... but in all seriousness even with the air damn deployed this truck still has more ground clearance than the majority of cars on the road.
  3. Exterior door lock buttons

I don't like to do that because you could lock the keys in the truck if you accidently left them in the console or something.
  4. Adding Work Station after sale (part numbers)

Keep in mind when its installed at the factory they only care about the *difference* in price between the parts for the option and the parts that would still be installed without the option. Its likely that all the parts for a non-workstation truck costs nearly as much... but its not like you...
  5. EcoBoost Versus PowerBoost

I was on the fence as well and test drove them both extensively. It really comes down to what's important to you Powerboost Pro's: -A *bit* faster (honestly hard to tell even back to back) -Can get the optional 7.2kw generator mode (keep in mind that 2kw is an option on the EB) -Better MPG...
  6. Active Air Dam in action - deploying at 45 mph

Sounds like I'm the only one whos happy about this. Better MPG on the highway while maintaining ground clearance at low speeds or in 4x4 is a win-win as far as I'm concerned.
  7. Exterior door lock buttons

It seems like mine don't work immediately after I've shut the door, but if I touch them after the door has been shut for a few seconds they work fine. It sucks though, because its inconvenient to just stand there waiting. I gave up and just started using the fob.
  8. Can Pro Power charge camping trailer while towing?

Double check that before relying on it. I cant remember the specifics, but I know some people have had to make minor modifications to get their camper batteries to charge on the 7 pin. either way, using the 7 pin is definitely better than shore power while driving. You'd have to find a way to...
  9. Best Cold Air Intake kit to get for 2021 3.5 EcoBoost 6 cyl?

I happen to be a mechanical engineer, so I'll try to clear a couple things up: 1. The turbos will add specific amount of heat to the intake charge, but if the charge was cooler before entering the turbos it will be cooler leaving the turbos as well. 2. The intercooler removes a specific amount...
  10. Factors To Consider Before Buying Any Tonneau Cover

I don't need security. Just need something to keep stuff in the bed clean and dry, but also need to be able to easily remove it when I need to use the full bed... so I went with a soft tri-fold. A 5.5' bed is already almost too short for me without giving up a chunk of it to a tonneau.
  11. Will a PowerBoost w/ Max Tow tow 9,810 lb. telehandler?

To add to the above comments about payload: the PowerBoost has about 200lbs less payload than a comparable 3.5 Ecoboost. If you're willing to give up the hybrid you will be more likely to be able to tow it. I had the same concern towing an 8k lb camper + family and gear in the bed, so I...
  12. Lane centering saying keep hands on wheel message even when hands are on wheel

I've found on straight sections of road if you let the weight of your hand/arm rest on the spoke of the wheel, it will see it as enough "input" to not trigger the warning. It feels funny at first because without the lane centering you would be steering into the other lane, but the lane centering...
  13. Extra leaf spring for max tow?

For comparison a platinum with no additional packages of any kind (no tow package and no FX4) has: 3600lb front GAWR 3800lb rear GAWR 7050lb GVWR It also has the single leaf spring So the only difference in rating is 250lbs less rear GAWR, but it still has exactly the same GVWR.
  14. GAWR (axle) stickers for regular/max tow and EB/PB

I think I found the source for your mystery data point, and I think it was logged incorrectly. It looks like that data point was from Smitdog's post (post #11 on page 1 of this thread) and his window sticker shows that he actually has the regular tow package, not the Max Tow. What's interesting...
